I applied for my h4 extention on july 2004,which is still pending.. mean while i applied for H1 in july 2004 and it got approved in aug '04 but my h1 is valid from oct 1st 2004.. so now i need to apply for my h4 withdrawal.. because if it gets approved after october then h4 will override h1.Can u please tell me how to apply for h4 withdrawal now.like how many days before oct should i apply for h4 withdrawal..

H1B supersedes your H4 visa. You can start work from October 1. H4 is the visa status through your spouse. You not required to withdraw you H4 application now as you have an approved H1B visa petition. Your H4 status should be valid until September 30.
