but pretty disappointing. I liked the scenes in Italy a lot, and thought that Julianne had some intensity in her acting that was effective. I read in one review that her character was meant to be numb and deadened from what she had been through, and that was why she acted so stony, but I know what you mean. I've been tempted to rent it on video, but every time, I think "Jeez, I don't think I'll be able to sit through this whole thing a second time." |
