Hello Nasty - yet another new sound from the Beasties. I can't say I don't miss Money Mark and his keyboards (he's the 4th Beastie, by golly), but this new thing with the techno sound is kinda fly all on its own.
If you're a fan of the Money Mark days (the albums CHECK YOUR HEAD and ILL COMMUNICATION are muchly shaped by him), do yourself the great favor of picking up one of his solo albums. He's got 3 as of now. The first, "Mark's Keyboard Repair", is still my favorite, but if you want more full-fledged songs, grab either of the other two. Good stuff.
Gun Club - never really gave 'em an ear. What they about?
Sisters - I haven't been able to listen to them in a looooong time. Got sour on 'em for some reason. Still good stuff, but just... eh. Floodland is a great, great album though, despite my reluctance to play it these days
