1.Fischerspooner - #1 - some of the best synth-pop I've yet heard
2.The Faint - Danse Macbre - most positively the best synth from Nebraska
3.The Young Gods - L'eau Rouge - My favorite of the quad of "techno-industrial gods o' the 80s"... much more creative than Skinny Puppy, Nitzer Ebb, or Front 242. Unlike the others, The Young Gods are still as fresh to-day as they were 16 years ago.
4.The Young Gods - Play Kurt Weil - This out-of-print gem is worth digging for for the their versions of September Song and Alabama Song alone. Simply fantastic!
5.The Young Gods - Second Nature - The latest release(2000) from this Swiss outfit, shows them to be as relevent to the music scene to-day as when they were busy pioneering the "techno-industrial" genre over 15 years ago. Buy This Album! It's import only and fairly hard to find as The Young Gods seem to have been forgotten by the masses... but it's more than worth the effort.
6.Avengers - Avengers - I was lucky enough to stumble on a copy of this super-rare collection of early Avengers punk rock gems! Often selling for $50 dollars on ebay I found my copy for only $15. Penelope Houston, as you old-timers should remember, is the major love of my life. I suppose the Avengers ultimate claim to fame is that they were the opening act for the Sex Pistols "last show ever" at the Winterland in San Francisco.
7.Fad Gadget - Best Of - The first official signing to Mute Records, Fad Gadget (aka Frank Tovey) was an early pioneer of electronic dance music.
8.David Sylvian - Secrets Of The Beehive - Simply put, one of the most beautiful and relaxing albums of all time.
9.Haujobb - Polarity - I believe this to be the best "EBM" record I've heard to date.
10.New Order - Movement - The first album after the death of Ian Curtis and Joy Division. Still my favorite of New Order's discography.
-----------------------------------
1.ILSA : She-Wolf Of The SS - This classic shocking sexploitation film is finally available again and on the wonderful DVD format.
2.Blade Runner - I'm one of the few fans who actually prefers the theatrical release of this movie and I very much wish that it would get a DVD release. I just find that damned "dream sequence" to be fucking annoying... much more than the naration of the first release.
3.WWF Raw, Smackdown, & Metal - HOLY SHIT!!! Vince Mac has really gone all out for his beloved World Wrestling Federation. He's actually got me excited about next sunday's pay-per-view of The Royal Rumble. Not only is Ric Flair gonna wrestle with Vince, they've got my fave superstar returning to the square circle.... GOLDUST!!!
