It's a little frustrating, isn't it?
Now supposedly Zombie is a huge fan of the Damned and asked for them to open the shows on this tour. But I don't know. Just seems kind of sad to me. Good intentions, but I don't see the Zombie crowd getting into it, and haven't heard good things about the tour. I would gladly go, like you and show my support. I just hate the tought of my heroes standing up in front of a bunch of mullet heads to be ignored or abused. I just don't know what they were thinking when they put this together.
I hope your experience was better than those I've heard from other Damned fans. Maybe Zombie's fans in Northern Cal are a little more enlightened than those in New Mexico, North Dakota, etc. I don't know. The whole thing is just weird.
The album, was so good. And the last tour went so well. I just wish they were backed by their label a little better. I want to keep seeing these guys and hearing new material. It's just not fair, because I think they're tighter as a band than they have ever been, and the Damned right now is a lot better than the old band I loved, even though they couldn't quite get their shit together.
They just need to be able to show what they are now, in the right forum.
Am I making any sense?
