Dear Peeps...
After forty-six years here at the various incarnations of "bauhaus.org" I've decided to slip away, like so many others have... It's not because I don't like the folks that are left, oh no, but that I don't like the way the board's set up. It's boring to look at, and difficult to navigate, particularly if I don't check in for a few days. I'm old, I'm cranky, I want things simple...
So... I'm gonna limit myself to posting at the
other message board... its address is below if you'd like to drop by. It's set up a bit better (to my thinking) than this one is, especially when there's only a few people reading and posting... messages that you (or someone else) reply to get moved to the top of the page, so you always know "what's new," even if you don't come in every day to check. Equally important to my mind, this other board has an option on the threads that allows you to see the whole thread at once, so you don't have to click and wait for each post to load into your browser. You just click once - I like that, it saves a lot of time, and it's optional, so those of you who DON'T like it don't have to see it that way. It's cool like Shaft. Also, there's a color scheme and a mascot (the mascot changes occasionally, but the colors are pretty much static, and to my mind more attractive than this is).
