Couldn't get the time off to see Nick Cave in New Orleans. And I really would have loved to Keith fronting Black Flag, but I gave it a miss because they were only openers for the Rollins Band. I like Rollins until he tries to sing (or whatever it is he does).I had also seen X the night before and was still riding that high.

Neil Young just played here and there were a lot of pissed off people complaining about it. Neil, evidently, has a new album out. Kind of a concept album about a small town. And at his current shows, he's playing this new album straight through, with sets, and backdrops, and actors. It sounds pretty interesting to me, but he's only playing a couple of old songs in the encore. So the old Neil fans were understandably upset thinking they were going to a Neil Young concert, and instead really getting his version of a broadway production. I'm not a Neil Young fan anyway, so I probably would have enjoyed it. Just that people were getting something other than what they expected and I thought I should give you a heads up.
