The kids are alright! (twins have arrived!)

On May 25 at 2:17 and 2:23AM, Rhyd and Matisse were pulled into the world kicking and screaming. After 13 weeks of bedrest, Trina had finally had it and went to the hospital to have the children removed. After 14 hours of labour and 45 minutes of pushing, the doctor reached in and yanked them out.

Rhyd Morgan Pala weighed 7lbs1/2oz, and Matisse Morgan Pala weighed 5lbs1oz. Both are doing well despite losing weight in the first weeks and Rhyds jaundice is finally waning.

Being new parents is difficult, mostly because we don't recall any lullabies, and softly cooing "Head Like a Hole" just doesn't seem to be working.

We are looking forward to reading the Original versions of the Brothers Grimm tales and the Gashlycrumb Tinys by Edward Gorey to the kids and see what effect SBB has on their long-term development.
