Go see your doctor! The problems you are having may or may not be serious. But they are nothing to mess around with. You may find that solutions to the problems are very easy and/or you may not have any problems at all. But only your doctor can really tell.
You may be experiencing PVC's, Atrial Fib, Ventricular Tachycardia, or Bradycardia. Or you may be having problems with sleep apnea. You may need to simply improve your diet, cut back on alcohol which is toxic to the heart muscle tissue, or you may need medication or the help of available devices.
Learn to take your pulse and if you have any more problems, take your pulse immediately so that you can tell if your heart is beating too fast or too slow. Record how long the problems last, whether you have breathing problems associated with the irregular heart rhythms. THEN TAKE THAT INFORMATION TO YOUR DOCTOR.
No matter what...be sure to see your doctor. And do it soon.
Good Luck.
