I was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy in Sept 2000- I went to Cleveland Clinic in January 200l. A terrific place-would recommend to everyone. I am 18 months post diagnosed & the tiredness is still here(somewhat) my medications are 50 mg Coreg - 40 mg Zestril & lasix as needed. When were you first diagnosed? Possibly you have not had enough time to recup more energy. Are you able to walk or exercise? I started out walking not even a city block & now I am up to 2 miles per day (based on weather). My dr says the walking helps build the heart back. The disease weakens the pumping function muscle & needs to be rebuilt. The coreg is a heart stimulant to help the pumping function work better. Good luck-don't give up. Hope to hear from you.
