I am posting this for my mother who has heart disease and heart failure and a couple other health problems. She has been very depressed and discouraged since her heart attacks. She doesnt have the motivation to try to get on the internet at all or to do anything anything at all including eating. I am hoping that maybe some of you could post or email to encourage her and that maybe she could make a few friends. I have a health problem myself and i know how important it is to know that you are not alone. My mums name is Elaine and for the last while (and forever to her) she feels like for every step forward she takes many back. Her heart disease is complicated by diabetes and lung disease. She is only 59 but she now has to use a walker, a scooter and a wheelchair. Everytime she seems to be improving, she gets a cold or something and sometimes ends up in the hospital. She is just so tired of feeling sick and would like one day of feeling ok. I am planning on talking to the doctor about her depression too. Sometimes i have to lift her off the toilet since her legs are so weak. She used to like to go outside but lately she isnt interested. I am just at my wits end and i am crying as i type this. I was hoping that maybe she could email with someone in the same kind of boat. I am sure that once she realizes that she is not alone it would help a great deal. Thank you so much for reading this.
