I was just diagnosed with DCM after a routine stress test which included an echo cardiogram. I was basically asymtomatic but now that I know that I have the disease, there were signs such as a heavy chest
when under stress and when laying down. Also, the contant caugh or clearing of the throat. I would also get pressure in my chest when under stress and some lightheadedness to the point where I thought I might pass out. My EF under the echo was 45 but only 30 after my cardiac cath. I received two stents although the arteries were not that bad. The stents were placed in my left and right main arteries because one seemed to take a right turn and the other had a little ulceration or "shelf" of some sort. I would like to know if anyone has any information regarding the negative effects of stress with regard to DCM. My doctor is writing a letter for my disability but I would like some concrete information on the subject if possible.
