My husband at present has a weak heart muscle with an EF of about 20. They also found 3 blocked arteries during a Heart Cath.. Did not do bypass because of his weak heart muscle. They are giving him a pet scan to see if possibly the lack of blood flow through the heart caused the weakened heart muscle. At present with taking his medications, he feels pretty good. He is working, just not doing anything strenuous. They did not want to do the open heart until they find out possibly why the heart muscle is so weak. How can someone with an ejection factor this low feel so great. Did you ever know of anyone who had blockages and a weak heart muscle.. This is all new to me. Thank you.. Mary
