My name is Fred, I am 52yrs old. I used to be very active, bicycling, scuba diving, skiing. I have a history of mitral stenosis, over the past year my endurance has drastically decreased. I had a cardiac cath and biopsy. I have been diagnoed with restrictive cardiomyopathy. What I would like to know is the progression of the disease. I've been told by my doctors is that the prognosis is poor, and that I would probably not be a transplant candidate. I am a registered nurse, getting married in two weeks, and now this. She is very supportive.
