I've had chf for 2.5 years.
onset was pretty rough. and it took some weeks before I could climb a flight of stairs again.
medics have me on coreg, altace, and lysinopril.
I can work now. and I can even contract in telecommunications doing aerial splices.
seems that I never feel great. and some days are hard.
but I function. I dont think about anything else.
if you smoke....quit. if you drink..... quit.
if you are worrying about the illness....quit that, too.
none of us were built to last forever.
best you can do is let your loved ones know what they mean to you, enjoy any day that you can slap your work gear on and do what it takes. and show some brass.
along with that , of course , follow your medics advice. I have heard that some chf people can do pretty well for a decent period of time.
you shoot for that.
