Tying Question

April 6 2002 at 2:38 AM

Can anyone help me? I want to tie a pattern that calls for the tag to consist of silver oval tinsel followed by yellow floss and then orange floss. Question, how do I tie in two different collors of floss without having a bump where the two collors meet in the middle of the tag. Do I wrap both from the tinsel with the yellow on top of the orange and then cross over in the middle and wrap the orange over the top of the yellow? HELP!

Thanks,

Don Williams

Hi Don!
There is no big deal doing that if you are very meticulous. Do the silver/gold part first as normal,
then start with the first silk at the middle of that area you want for both, wind it back to the silver/gold and return to middle.
Tie in and cut of, go with your thread to the place for the butt,do the same thing once more but this time you return when you reach the middle (first silk).
Tie in and cut of and there you are.........
Good luck!! Wolfgang
