Vielings

Is there anyone else in here that got the same problems as I do?

That would be, that the vielings are rotating easily after tied in. For example when the second butt is tied in.

Simon! First, dont cut the feather to short, then cut the fibres and leave about 1mm of it on both sides, NEVER "clean" the stem with your fingers ripping the fibres away.
Then wound in the for ex Indian crow all way of the stem, for real chatterer wich have a very high profile you have to wound the first two turns quite gently and then harder after the position is fixed.

I did fine now I think :) The vielings got in proper positions for my own taste. I used the plier to flatten the stem. Cut the fibres instead of stripping the stem. And then I used the 3,5,3 method. This became the ressult

The photo is a bit crappy and the tinsel in the tag dont show but it shows the vielings quite good. What do you think?
