Especially when it comes to frying creative folks.
Has anyone tasted fried creatives before? Must be yummy, because it's always on the menu. |

Well! Malaysians have a penchant for teh-tarik.
Any creative not their cup of tea is...ahem.
Have you tried teh-tarik with fried creatives?
Guaranteed to give you indigestion, even if you have a taste for bad gossips.

When evicted, do an Evita. A diva needs her stage. |

Don't Cry For Me Argentina
Artist(Band):Madonna
(Evita:)
It won't be easy, you'll think it strange
When I try to explain how I feel
that I still need your love after all that I've done
You won't believe me
All you will see is a girl you once knew
Although she's dressed up to the nines
At sixes and sevens with you
I had to let it happen, I had to change
Couldn't stay all my life down at heel
Looking out of the window, staying out of the sun
So I chose freedom
Running around, trying everything new
But nothing impressed me at all
I never expected it to
Chorus:
Don't cry for me Argentina
The truth is I never left you
All through my wild days
My mad existence
I kept my promise
Don't keep your distance
And as for fortune, and as for fame
I never invited them in
Though it seemed to the world they were all I desired
They are illusions
They are not the solutions they promised to be
The answer was here all the time
I love you and hope you love me
Don't cry for me Argentina
(chorus)
Have I said too much?
There's nothing more I can think of to say to you.
But all you have to do is look at me to know
That every word is true

goes for the judging
and comes back to fry the creatives before even the results and awards night
if they were self-respecting self-motivated creatives, they'd have gotten the message and buck up and motivate themselves.
the creative mind is a wandering one
i've always been so very perplexed by agencies/creative heads that impose a weekly initiative day session that's so draconian.
if they aren't motivated, and are forced to attend at gunpoint, what makes you think that improves creative standards.
not to mention another irony of the awards.
it's at the end of the day, a necessary evil.
the only campaign worthy in the kancils in my eyes is the yellow man campaign. from creative to client to suits and through and through, it was well thought out, and the most important jury of all - the people on the streets loved and accepted it.
did you all think that the yellow man was conceived at a brainstorm session to come up with initiatives with the sole intention of winning the hearts of 12 people in a room? doubt it.
People. Remember. We are professionals. And we owe it to the people that pay our salaries to give them our best. Regardless of how futile it may seem, when it comes to them rejecting or approving ideas.
It's so very easy to say, "let's just wrap this bread and butter so we can spend the week coming up with an award-winning idea for a toothpick manufacturer that i know.."
Congratulations to all the award winners at the kancils. And a big congratulations to the creatives who believe in fighting the good fight. Your gold will be all the more rewarding. |
