Losvegas,Nev (Hover dam ) Zoin Natoinal Park which is in Utah,Yellowstone which is in Wyoming,Mt.Rushmoore in S.Dak,the list is endless.Are you going to cowboy camp,hostel,couch surf, hotel or camp in Natonal Parks? Your gear is extremily important the deserts can be brutal,that means how are going to carry enough water,I would carry a tent that Zips so it will keep out ants,scorpins and snakes that is green in color so you can hide from people when you have to (cowboy camp)but what you will see you cant see by car because you can hear,smell,taste the beauty of America it is so worth while,good luck hope this helps Ron
