Hi, Myself and 3 of my (currently very unfit) friends are currently planning to cycle nonstop on a relay/relief basis from New York to Los Angeles in under 14 days for charity. (12 is our goal). I have a rough route planned out but i was wandering who best to contact or where to look for some kind of topographical map and more detailed view as to what would be in front of us. Our plan is to be followed by some sort of camper van for restbite, so the other thing is the legality of cycling along certain roads and also of a campervan doing slow speeds accros america! Unfortunatly, our biggest problem is that we're from the UK, so going to a local office or even driving the route is a challenge in itself, so to be honest, we're completely cluless so far.

If anyone has any kind of information that could be useful it would be greatfully received. My email address is sir_drive_shaft@hotmail.com.

Thankyou.

Alec

Sorry to say, but NYC to LA in 14 days is humanly impossible. That would be over 220 miles per day. I would suggest rethinking your ride.
