I am looking for somebody to go from the west coast (I'm thinking Oceanside CA or San Diego) to Annapolis or some other East coast city. I would like to do the trip in June of 2010. I would also like to raise money/awareness for some organization. I would like the trip to be about 3000 miles and I'm shooting for an average of 100 miles/day so the trip takes about 30 days. I am currently 19 and I will be 20 when I plan to do the trip. I don't know about camping or staying in motels, that is up for discussion.

I'm exactly on the same page as you. I'm 21, and plan to do a trip across America next summer, too. I'm also planning on raising money for some organization and am in the beginning stages of figuring that out.

At an absolute minimum, let's be in contact to give each other advice. Right now I'm stuck with how to determine a route--do you have any advice for that?

I have been planning on doing this ride for some time now and the summer of 2010 is about the only time that I can do it. I was looking at doing it unsupported though ( camping the whole time).. if you are still looking for riders send me an e-mail..
