Martha: Now hopefully for some sane conversation:)
gallo: I'm too late. Jonathan has already responded with insanity.
Martha: Anybody know anything about "Scientists Confront Creationism" part 2? I read the first one from the 1980's with all the talk about thermodynamics, Paluxy Tracks, and the old argument the Australopithecines were nothing but apes. I understand it is due to come out soon if it has not already.
gallo: "Scientists Confront Creationism" is one of the few books on the topic that I haven't read. It was published in 1983, and in paperback in 1984.
The "Part 2" to which you refer is probably "Scientists Confront Intelligent Design and Creationism" due to be published in March of 2007. The publisher in all cases was W.W. Norton. Laurie R. Godfrey, the editor of the first book has been joined by Andrew J. Petto, who even gets first billing.
Martha: Oh, and Jonathan. You are not invited to the discussion table:) But I have a feeling he will crash the party anyway.
gallo: But since he rarely has anything constructive to add, we can just ignore him.
