MITTEN:
"In defense of pork, he claims that the superstition is not stupid because someone else also believes in a stupid superstition as well..."
Nope - outright falsehood.
Mitten again can't understand a simple subtle point.
Mitten portrayed Islam as stupid BECAUSE of its dietary restrictions. I pointed out that other religions also have dietary restrictions and that these were based on a number reasons both cultural, historical and health-related.
Unable to think outside her box Mitten continues to rant about dietary restrictions being "stupid", and "superstitious".
However she is ignorant of the meaning of the words she uses and of course dietary laws in any religion are NOT stupid or superstitious because they have underlying reasons for their implementation - even though the original conditions which gave rise to those laws no longer exist.
Tradition - another word that Mitten is unable to grasp the meaning of - is part of ALL cultures and religions including the American culture. Traditions have value within a culture so that when Mitten denigrates the traditions of other religions and cultures she effectively does so for her own set of traditions too.
Mitten is unable to grasp the simple truth that her ill-composed rant against Islam is hollow because it fails to single Islam out as being unique amongst other religions - something she has both implied and been explicit about in multiple posts.
In addition her charges are shallow and prompted mostly by ignorance and a grand dollop of bigotry.
MITTEN:
"When it is pointed out to him that imaginary deity's do not hear prayers and it is silly to pray to them..."
And here of course is Mitten's final act of folly.
Here she implies she has PROOF for the non-existance of a deity - an impossibility since it is generally agreed by logical thinkers, philosophers and theologians alike that it is impossible to either prove or disprove such supernatural entities.
But I'm sure we will all be awaiting Mitten's presentation of such 'proof'?
;-D
And meanwhile we await Mitten to stop avoiding answering the other questions I have put to her.
