Muslims who commit murder, just like any other person on this planet, do so for a number of reasons.
If you are referring to your original comment about some Muslims killing members of their own families (to whit - women) then the reason is invariably what has come to be known as an "honour killing".
Honour killings are steeped in the patriarchal culture of the country (like Pakistan) and are, as the name implies, done out of a twisted sense of 'honour' rather than for any religious imperative.
Pity you don't do any research before you make your opinions known Mitten. ;-)
If you are going to drag terrorists and other fanatics into the argument I will readily comply and bring up fanatics who kill for politics (Nazis, Stalinists to name just a few), religion (anti-abortionists, crusaders) and for their country (IRA, ETA).
Now what these others have in common with their Islamic counterparts is fanaticism and yes some can be insane too.
However if you are going to tar all Islam with the brush of fanaticism because of these few fanatics then you should do so for all other religions, political ideologies and countries - including your own.
