Re: Creationism

I would refer you to "The Blind watchmaker" by Professor Richard Dawkins.

NAtural Selection is part of the natural mechanism that can "create" "design". No need for a designer.

Besides have you ever been to a doctor? Ever hear of things like cancer, diabetes, genetic defects, arthritis? The human body is far from intelligently designed. Too many defects. Just spend a weekend in a childrens cancer ward at a hospital, and if that does not change your mind that things are so well designed, then nothing will.

The anthropoic principle contains another flaw, and that is since life evolved in this environment we would expect it to be well adapted to it. Your argument is like saying that since we have snowflakes in Antartica there must have been a designer who "created" an environment specifically to keep them around. You know raise the temperature above 32 Degrees F and snowflakes all melt away :)

Perhaps if we changed those constants around ever so slightly we wind up with life that is silicon based, rather then carbon based. Then we would all be arguing that the environment was "designed" ever so perfectly for us silicon based organisms therefore there must be a designer :)
