Re: Don't forget......

Historically supernatural explanations have always been replaced by natural explanations. No longer is there a "lightning god" a "sun god" and now we know about the germ theory of disease.

With the tract record of methodoligical naturalism being successful no wonder scientists insist on using it!

Creationists simply dont understand science. If everything was explained and there were no more unknowns, science would have no need to further investigation. There would be no need for biomedical research if Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimers, Cancer had a cure and we knew exactly what caused it for example.

The only thing left would be teaching.

Since creationists cant even prove a god exists, the only option they have is to find something unexplained and then ask scientists to explain it.

When creationists ask "Dont you think the origin of life without a creator is impossible? Afterall they have been trying for over 50 years?". It reminds me of what Thomas Edison once said when asked before he had invented the light bulb. After about 2000 tries he was asked "dont you think you have proven a light bulb is impossible?"

No. He replied. I have shown 2000 ways how not to invent a light bulb.

The creationists strategy would be like concluding light is some supernatural phenomenon and is impossible for there to be a light bulb :)

And then what's worse is that we are still left with the question: what exactly is light? A Light God at least for me is not a very satisfying answer :)
