Curse my not living in the big city!!!

by Kayt Sel Liantuy

Ya'll always talking about merges, and I was wondering...

Any idea how many members live in Canberra and the surrounding region. I know there's another Canberran Wanderer (I know because I recruited her), and I think there's someone studying at ADFA.

Has there ever been a Canberra Guildmerge? Can any of the Sydney people come here? I know this is a small town, so what do ya'll think the likelihood is of this working.

Let me know what ya'll think...

Dylan Song in Darksong

by Serenity

Hi guys!
I havent posted in ages! Does anyone know what the "well known Dylan tune" that Ember plays while she is performing as Gola is? The answer would be much appreciated!!!

hey - long post.

by Min

Hi Serenity,

OMG, thanks for opening THAT can of worms, I've been searching for ages on Bob Dylan sites to find something that matches the words, or even the rhythm of the song Ember sings in Darksong - I'm thinking since it was supposed to be about Bleyd's imprisonment that it was the "Hurricane" song that Dylan wrote about the injustice of Rubin Carter's imprisonment...but I can't make the words fit...maybe. Here's the last 4 lines of "Hurricane"

But it won't be over till they clear his name
And give him back the time he's done.
Put in a prison cell, but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world.

And Ember's re-write:
Someday a storming will come,
Righteous and filled with anger,
And the shadows that hide the truth,
Will then be driven back.

Does anyone actually know the tune? *feels shamed that she doesn't know it* It just has to fit that...that's all I could come up with.

There are a couple more 'Earth' songs Ember sings too
- an Irish ballad "described flashes of light in the midst of a storm, and told of weary sea folk sighing the lights of the home port, of a beast finding it's strayed calf" - ??
- "a light ballad...about a man who couldn't make his mind up between two sisters" - and it's not necessary to change the words in this one.
NO idea about either of them...
Isobelle, if you happen to read this one can you give us a hint?

Luv,
Min

We're all in charge of the points tally ;) I'll add the Moonfair and Specfanfic to the current totals as those are ready available but I'm not sure what's happening with other parts of the site. From recollection, the gap between the Wanderers and the Ashlings is certainly shrinking. Not much in it now, I'd say!

I got another letter from Isobelle yesterday! She is SUCH a nice person!!

News on her books atm:
- She's currently writing and nearly finished a standalone novel called 'Alyzon' (I think...), which will be about 550 pages.
- Next project is the Sending
- After that will be the third book for the Gateway Tril, 'The Firecat's Dream'

Pretty cool!!
She hopes to have the Firecat's Dream out in 2005, so if the Sending is before that, we might not have to wait all that long!!!!

She gave her mailing address in a post sometime in Feb/March 2003 if you want to look it up... she was replying to a message (by me - Eeeee!) so you can look for those names =/

Sydney meet final plans

by Squarmi

So we're meeting at 11.30am on Saturday 22nd May near the Elizabeth St entrance/exit of St James Station. Is this ok with everyone?? And we'll use an Ober book as ID. Except I don't have one in Sydney because my sister stole them when I was home last so I'll be the weirdo hovering around the entrance there. ;)

Also if anyone wants my mobile number to call me if they're lost or running late or whatever email me at Squarmi @ hotmail.com (minus the spaces)

Plus Usyd, don't forget our meet on Thurs 13 May at 2pm near the Jacaranda Tree in Main Quad :)

to the 3 M's - Sunday's rundown. long post.

by Min

Hey Megana, Miska and Maria - had a great time in Sydney, thanks for coming into the city despite all the train chaos!! I so had an awesome time though, the entire weekend. My aunt and uncle took me to dinner at Bondi, Luna Park and the Bridge Bar!! Wow, I felt spoilt...I'm currently listening to the DBZ soundtrack you gave me Megana - thanks SO much, it's GREAT. I have to see these movies now. Vegeta's on it!! Horay!!!!!

Here's an update on what you missed out on on the Sunday supanova, coz I know you're ALL wondering :P

- BETTER COSTUMES. OMG. The host of the cosplay comp on Sunday was actually interesting too, lots better. There was a guy dressed as Hercule who was like 35 years old and looked and acted exactly like him. There was a couple of Pan's that suited the role really well. A massive Moogle, who couldn't see where he was going and kept running into everyone who gave me a hug. A whole heap of Klingons who ended up staging a war with the Star wars guys (the sith and the jedi that were there on Sat, and another) - v. funny. PLUS, a troop of Asians who were dressed as the Crazy 88 out of Kill Bill, who were walking around with another Asian girl dressed like Gogo who looked EXACTLY like Gogo, they were FABULOUS. I'll post you some photos as soon as I finish my film. SOMEONE dressed as Chloe out of Noir - thank GOD someone else has heard of that series!!

- The kamehameha shootoff...Megana, you would have appreciated this. Imagine a huge group of people (5 at a time on stage) getting up and screaming 'KA-ME-HA-ME-HAAAAA!' at the top of their lungs, with your new friend Eric Vale judging...hehehe. A 2 year old one the junior division because he was adorable (which wasn't really fair...), and a girl won the 'adult' (not sure what to call it) section, because she was dressed as Bulma, blue wig and all.

- Kareoke. All japanese songs. Felt like I'd stepped into another dimension. All singers were in costume and were taking it very seriously by the looks...

- Me spending $200 on the Noir dvds...*blushes* luckily it was on credit, which isn't real money til I check my bank account...I spent my entire Labor Day holiday having a Noir marathon!!

- You-know-who playing tagalong again. Damnit, should have dyed my hair. I think he got sick of me staring at the i-pod displays and not flinching at his un-funny jokes by about 1:30 and left me blissfully alone. Freaky though. I dont even know why he went to Supanova, he didn't seem to want to see anything.

- Going to Sulu from Star Trek's talk - totally packed out by Trekkies asking probing and stereotypically geeky questions. But Sulu seemed to enjoy it.

Very fun day, both days :D hope you guys had fun on Saturday, and Maria, I wish you had ditched your assignment and come along too, but oh well :P it was GREAT to talk to people face-to-face about the O-chron and everything.

That's all :D !!

Luv,
Min

Hehe, funny!

by Megana

I so wish I could have gone on the sunday too! I'm so sitting at the computer laughing my head off! I'm just imagining all those people in costume.......hehe, moogle! I love those guys! Ahhh, funny, funny, funny! :) And Hercule! He's a crack up too! Hehe! *starts laughing again*

Awe, the Kamehameha contest sounds like it would have been awesome, and very funny, to watch! You've so gotta post ALL the photos up!

I'm so glad that you managed to ditch Kieren. He was seriously weird and annoying! Hehe, I picked up a stalker too, at central station! He just happened to be bitching about the trains to the same city rail guy I was, and going the same way I was, so he followed me! He seriously thought that I was 23 or something! He was scary/weird, but not as bad as Kieren was! I'm definately glad that he eventually went away and left you alone!

And I'm so glad that you like the soundtracks! The movies are awesome too, although I personally prefer movie 4 - Lord Slug, to the other one. But meh, they're both good. And I finally got the final box of series 3 off layby, so I'm now spending my spare hour or so in the arvo re-watching the cell games. Fun, fun, fun. :)

I had the best weekend ever! And to all the other Sydney people out there, please try to make it to the next meet later on this month! It'll be so much fun! And Miska, thanks again for letting me stay at your place sat night, and for driving me all around Sydney sun morning! Thank you so much! (I left the packet of tim tams in your fridge, so they're all yours! :) )

Definately lots of weirdos! But hey, they made it interesting! And you weren't dull, Miska! I had a blast! I can't wait for the next meet! I'm gonna have to start hassling work soon to get the day off, although they'll probably roster me on anyway. Meh. And it was great to meet you too, Maria! I wish you could have stuck around longer, but it was still great to get to meet you!

Anyway, I hope to see lots more Sydney people on the 22nd of May!........just had a thought - where exactly are we having the meet? Have we decided yet? I think either Hyde park again, or circular Quay would be good spots. Just a susgestion.

by Min

Hey Miska I don't remember you being dull at all!! Awww, I love Sydney, I keep wondering why I'm still living in Brisbane now, Syd just seems heaps nicer...

Yeah, Kieren burned me a CD of - get this - the force.net fanfilms. Geek-central, but SO funny. But you're both right, he was very very scary, and totally lacking in personality that one...now I feel mean. Picking up weirdos seems to be a speciality, especially since you picked up one at Central Megana!? I think we Obernewtyn-ers are maybe too accepting? LOL, we sympathise with Misfits? I don't spose it helped that I was wearing a shirt that proclaimed 'I am a Misfit' either...

Miska, I recommend to start with get into Dragonball Z. Very funny stuff :D

HEY, I'd love to come up to the meet on 22nd May!! LOL. Brisbane, how about we have a meet? It's not all scary I promise! If you're parents won't let you, bring them with!

Cheers,
Min

What sort of file are you trying to send, and how big is it?

What is the error that you are getting when you try to send it to me?

Hey guys - survey

by Tammy

Hey Guys for english this term we have to do a piece on the function and power of language. I chose to study fantasy and its effects on the people who read them. I was just wondering if you could help me by filling out this survey and sending it to me at smarshmellow_73@hotmail.com

It would be really really helpful. Thanx!

Interview questions
• Why do you read fantasy?

• What appeals to you about the fantasy genre?

• Many fantasy books follow the same plot. Why do you still read these books even though you know basically what is going to happen?

• What’s the difference between a good fantasy novel and a bad one?

• What other genres do you read?

• If you are reading a fantasy novel at the moment, what is the basic plot?

• Who are your favourite authors? Why?

• Do you re-read books or is once enough?

Thanx guys!

Luv Tammy

Ahoy there Sydney!!

by Squarmi

When are we going to have this meet??? I know some people are meeting up this weekend but unfortunately I will be studying for the entirety of the weekend as I have 2 exams next week. YIPPEE!! So, a suggestion for the weekend of the 22/23 May sometime. Any other suggestions??

And Sydney Uni, I know this is well in advance but since we don't all get on the net everyday and we've all got exams and assignment coming out our ears, how does 2pm on Thurs 13 May sound?? near the tree in the main quad??

Squarmi :)

P.S. If anyone is interested, there's a fun walk/run on Mothers Day called the Mother's Day Classic which raises money for breast cancer research and support groups. It's held in the Domain and it's a great family day out. It's held in other places too for those outside Sydney. I can get to anywhere that a train can. And morning would suit me best, cos I don't like catching the train home late in the afternoon. So if we meet up around 11-12ish, that would suit me just fine.

Course you can come, Elixa! The more the merrier! :)

As for locations, well, there's Circular Quay, or me Miska and Claire met up last time at Hyde park. Or there's the Domain too. Any other sugestions? As long as there's a train station nearby, it doesn't bother me either way.

Hi Dimity

by Kayt Sel Liantuy

Yep. The last book DOESN'T end it.

Originally, Ober-Chron was meant to be a trilogy. Now we're told it's a series of five. The fifth book is called the Sending, and we've had some slight hope it will come out at the end of this year, but more likely it'll be next year.

Personally, I wonder how it can possibly be finished in one more book!

Hope that helps you out, and nice to hear from you.

Rhiannon (and anyone else who's interested),

<i>Angel Fever</i> is part of a series called the 'Quentaris Chronicles'. The books are written by different authors, but they're all based in a town/place called Quentaris. The book certainly is written by Isobelle and will be out soon. Have a look at the sites below if you're interested in reading more.

Hope this helped!

Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't realise Network54 had cut out formatted messaging. Is that something to do with that Gain rubbish?

Anyway, back on topic, I don't think the book's out yet. It has that ever-so-frustrating 'Coming Soon' tag attached to it. We haven't had any booksellers in our library lately, but I think one's coming in tomorrow, so it might be in one of those lovely crates of books they bring. I'll be sure to let everyone know.

just letting you know i've created a new forum at
http://www.network54.com/Forum/288694
because the rushton/dameon debate on the theories forum was getting out of hand. its not just for that sort of debate, though, it can be anything. i dont expect everyone to move over there and post everyday the way we do here and on the theories forum, its just for when topics have so many replies that people who arent interested cant tell which posts they should read and which ones they dont want to.
if that makes sense.

Yo all!!!

by Kayt Sel Liantuy

Man, there are a lot of Ober.net boards. I've been Wandering around lately. Two years I've been a member, and never seen half this stuff.

Anyhoo... just a thought.

Don't you think The Sending will have to be REALLY long.

Each of the four books so far has been divided into thirds, right? The first third is the story getting started, the middle third is the meaty bit, and the final third is the wrap-up.

I have a feeling the finding of the Signs will ALL have to take place in the Middle Third, while the Final Third could be devoted to the ENDING of the story, a meeting with the Destoryer, going to Sador and TLOTRQ.

And if one sign is in TLOTRQ, and THEN Elf has to go to Sador, that will mean a journey over the sea, then another one back again, and if the theory about it all ending in TLOTRQ is correct, then another one back AGAIN...

Dude!!! This is getting to be a Looooooooooooong book!!!

But do you think maybe Elspeth could get some of the signs travelling the dreamtrails? Why else would she have needed to learn how to travel the ashlings if it wasn't vital to the Quest?

She needed to get the message from the doors off of the dreamtrails cos she burnt them, but I guess that learning to fly the dreamtrails will be important in the Sending. It could come in handy, you never know. But I guess that we'll just have to wait and see. Grrrr! I can't stand having to wait until next year! I wanna know now! :(

This is funny

by Jennifer

It was sooo funny, the other day... my friend had just finished reading the obernewtyn chronicles and then she was talking to me about it. This is what she said (in a perfectly serious voice)
"You know what I think, Jennifer...? I think that maybe, just maybe, the beforetimers were from our time. You know, coz they sound a lot like us and everything?"
I just looked at her and said, "Duh!"
Ok, now it doesn't seem that funny... maybe you had to be there...

*shakes head in amusement*

by Kayt Sel Liantuy

The friend who introduced me to Ober-Chron always maintained that the Beforetime WASN'T us. She said there was no such thing as Govamen in our world, and that none of the Place names were the same as ours. And when i pointed out that the Reichler clinic documents were in JERMAN, she said it was co-incidence. She said the Beforetime couldn't be now, because we don't have a BOT. I kid you not! She really said that!!! I swear!

Weird!

The beforetimers are definately us.......maybe us in 10, 20 years or so in the future, but they are definately us! She couldn't pick that Govamen was Government, or that Jerman was German? Now that's strange.......and slightly delusional, not seeing the connection and all.

Fool's Fate *spoilers galore - you've been warned!!*

by Lauren

Well, I finished it last Saturday, and I reckon I'm still gulping for air. Every page, I was totally on the edge of my methaporical seat. Definitely one of the best writers and storylines of all time. But the end is so...cliffhangerish!! Is it a happy ending or a sad one?! Why'd the Fool have to leave without a proper goodbye? Does s/he know Fitz is still alive? And does Fitz know if s/he's female? Wait, do we even know if s/he's female?! And what did s/he mean by "I have never been wise"? Did the Piebalds really just kill themselves out? Who was the really huge woman's voice behind the Portal Stones? I can't decide on any ansers to these, and it's killing me!! Does anyone know if Ms Hobb will be publishing any books to continue the storyline???

Anyway, good book, very glad I read it, but I wish I could read 'em all again for the first time Bit like John Marsden's Tomorrow series, like that...

Cheerio,

Lauren

woman's voice

by blindmouse

I don't know any of the others, but the huge woman's voice behind the portal stones was Tintaglia the dragon, wasn't it? Or am I remembering wrong?

I don't know whether the Fool's a man or a woman. I was sure she was a woman until Fool's Fate, and then the fact that the Pale Lady referred to him as 'he', and that she was described as having the Fool's face, but softened into a woman's features - both those make it sound like he's male, but RH may just have put them in to confuse us again, because we were all getting so sure.

I'm just in the middle of re-reading all 3 trilogies atm, and I'm now about half way through Fool's Fate - not much further to go...

According to Ms Hobb's website: (http://www.robinhobb.com/FAQ.html)
"Is Fool's Fate the last book about Fitz and the Fool?

I think it is. Many readers probably recall that at the end of Assassin's Quest I was certain that I had finished writing about Fitz and the Fool. Then I found out I was wrong. So this time, I'm only saying that I think the story is finished. If a truly compelling plot set in the Farseer universe suddenly came to me, I wouldn't hesitate to write it. But I don't want to write another Farseer or Liveship story simply for the sake of writing a Farseer or Liveship story. I don't want to take a story that could be set anywhere and force it to be a Farseer story simply for the sake of 'branding' it. That would be cheating, and my readers, I am sure, would not only know immediately, they'd let me know that they knew."

Bugger :(

well... *more spoilers*

by Lauren

One can hope, eh? Maybe she just hasn't realised she has a good idea yet...

I figured the woman's voice was Tintaglia, too. But why is she so nice...? That's the bit which threw me. And I also figured that since Fitz entered the Fool's body to repair it, wouldn't he have know wehther the Fool was male or female? But then Fitz never mentions it again. Maybe it was just RH's way of saying that at the end of the day it just didn't matter...even though to the readers it DOES! :) I can see where RH is coming from, though. Maybe it's better to make up your own mind about what happened next rather than being told all the time. It is a bit enchanting, I admit.

Cheerio,

Lauren :)

Ok, this be bad news for all those expecting the sending to be coming out at the end of the year. I wouldn't be so quick to take what Angus and Robertson have told you to be the release date for The Sending. When a book, such as The Sending, is still in the works, nobody is really told the exact release date - only a rough time period in which they think the book is to be released. From personal experience I know this to be true - I once asked when a particular book was to be released and was told that it wasn't expected for another 2 years. It came out the next year.
I wouldn't truely believe unless I was told from a reliable source - such as IC herself!

The Sending reponse

by New Member

I am really bummed on the fact that the sending isn't coming out sooner. But I've only just been able to get the keeping place and managed to spend way up in the double digits to get. Oh well maybe this is good it'll give my pocket book a chance to recover!

US

by blindmouse

Hey Kaityn. I didn't know they'd published even the first three over there? So that's kind of cool. But I know what you mean about how frustrating it is to know that a book you desperately want has been published, but there's an ocean in the way. I found an author called Gerald Morris in my local library a while ago, and I just love the books, but he's a US writer, and he's out of print over here, so I've only been able to find a couple in libraries etc. Very frustrating. (Look him up, he's great - semi-comic retellings of Round Table stories.)

blindmouse

ps - what about IC's Legendsong books? Have they been published over there?

Movies... this has nothing to do with Ober

by Min

Hi, just want to ask a quick question.
There are heaps of movies coming out atm and all of them (from previews) look really dumb and cliche. Has anyone seen anything actually worth seeing lately?

Cheers,
Min

yep

by Sophie

I saw the butterfly effect and Hidalgo.
The Buttergly effect is alright, better than it looked in the previews, really creepy scary though, my friend and i were biting our icecream spoons the entire way through it.

Hidalgo was cool, it has Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) in it and its about a horse race. Its actually quite good. There is this hilarious scene that had all the guys in the audience covering their bits protectively, and i just pissed myself laughing... heehee it was kinda inappropriate. lol. i still laugh when i think about it. Aragorn is really good in it, its a bit weird at the start when he has no stubble but he grows some as the movie progresses.

Anyway, See Ya

Camp

by blindmouse

I haven't seen it, but I've been strongly urged to. I'd like to anyway, because I like Sondheim musicals, and my friend was quite violent in his recommendation. He says it's one of the only movies he's ever seen where if there'd been another showing immediately after the first, he would have gone right back in and watched it again.

OK, Melb meet is this sunday, at Flinders St Station under the clock, at 11:30am with an Ober book in hand.
- probably heading off to Dymocks to have coffee (are we still doing that?) and talk books.

I'm bringing my housemate with me. She's an ober fan, but not an online-fanclub type.

Good news indeed

by Buneater

My biggest fear is that once it's released, Isobelle will say that she has decided to stretch the series out to seven books... Well, it happened when Ashling came out! It was only supposed to be a trilogy until then.

It will be nice to have the story all finished off at last.

although

by blindmouse

It could be ages after it's finished that it actually comes out. If she doesn't finish it till the end of the year, they won't be able to get it out for the Christmas rush, and then they might want to wait for some other prime time. Midyear school holidays or something. It might take that long just to get proofread and find a cover and all that stuff.

Still... very very cool.

Hey,

Thought I'd bring this to the top.

I'm going on May 1 and 2, so whichever you want. Supanova Brissy last year, the Saturday was better, so if you can only go one day, go the 1st.

To recognise me...um, ok, I'll make another obernewtyn.net shirt! I'll wear that, and if you want to know what I look like, my photo is in the photo album. That might help a bit...hopefully.
Or, email me and I'll give you my mobile number, we can just sms til we find each other?

min @ obernewtyn - theories . com (remove spaces, don't want this email address spammed just yet).

I'm staying in Haymarket for the two days I'm there, apparently the hotel is a 5 minute walk from Wharf 8.

Let me know what the go is anyway,

Cheers,

Thanks! I got my e-mail today so I am an offical member of the Dreamweavers I'm so excited to meet you all! I just read the first three books last year and didn't find out about this site until about a week ago... I own Obernewton, The Farseekers, and Ashling but can't seem to find The Keeping Place anywhere here in the US...

And my fave colour is blue :)

*pulls out sheet of interrogation questions* bwahaha!
Alright Miss Mandy!
Q1: Who's your fave character from the obernewtyn books?
Q2: When did you start reading them?
Q3: do you have any pets? if so, what kinds?

Being crazy is not a bad thing! Besides the crazy people have more fun!

Q1: Who's your fave character from the obernewtyn books?
A1: Guy: Rushton, because I just love the way Isobelle Carmody describes his eyes!
Girl: Elspeth, because in some ways her and I are alike

Q2: When did you start reading them?
A2: I started reading them last year and haven't been able to put the books down since!

Q3: do you have any pets? if so, what kinds?
A3: Yes I have three pets, one dog and two birds

Q4: what's your favourite colour, food and holiday destination?
A4: I have two fave colors... blue and red, my fave food would have to be mexican, and holiday destination is most definetly Branson Missouri! I'll post why soon

I agree about Rushton. I love his eyes too! But my fav guy would have to be Matthew. He's been my fav ever since Obernewtyn.

I haven't read greylands....I don't even own it, so that's probably why. I've read Scatterlings and the Gathering, cos my year 10 English teacher made us (This was before I'd even heard of IC!) and I absolutly loved the Gathering! It's still my fav after Obernewtyn. I found the four OC books in K-Mart one day, and on impuse I lay-byed them, and I've never regretted it! I also own Darkfall and Darksong, but as yet I haven't read them. I've been lazy, but I will read them!

Paging all Herders...

by Lauren

crackly loudspeaker voice

Calling all Herders! Calling all Herders!

We have a severly lack of participants on the Hunt for Talents gameboard. Please report to the Herder's Lair to gloat over our punishment of the Captured Misfit. If you're unsure of directions (or what in Lud's name this is all about), please make your way to http://www.geocities.com/zevros4547/hft.html as soon as possible.

I repeat, there is a severe lack of Herders, and you should attend the Lair immediately.

That is all.

Over and out,

Lauren

speaking of Sydney...

by Min

I'm coming to Sydney for the QLD Labour Day weekend (1-2-3 May)!!! Woohoo!! It's for Supanova 2004, and I expect to see all of you there. I can't WAIT, the Brisbane one last year was SO much fun, I met the guy who played Chewbacca, and Darth Vader, and Gimling (I think, the kings right hand man) out of LotR, aaaand...Vegeta from DBZ, Pegasus from Yugi-o...wot else...oh there was just too much :P

www.supanova.com.au if you're interested - it says who all the stars are going to be and where it's held...
(Go Kill Bill!!! Go Trunks!!!).

Can't go to the Brissy one because it's the same day as my best friend's wedding...I told her she could leave her future husband at the alter and we'll just go to the brisbane one, but NO...

Megs

by Min

Yeah, we have to meet up!! That'd be great :D

Wharf 8 is at Darling Harbour...make sense to anyone? Coz I'm just planning on booking accomodation as close as possible to the venue and walking...

Booked my flight today though :D how exciting!!!

VEGETA ROCKED!! It was so much fun last year. Spoke to him about 3 times and got a couple of autographs and stuff, because he was the most interesting person there. I got 'in' with this group of young security people (volunteers with no arm muscles) who while pushing back a load of 10-year-old boys saying 'Chris Sabat is leaving now' (chris sabat = vegeta, and piccolo) I got to have a huge chat to him. I had him speak into my phone to prove I met him and he thought he was doing my answer phone - the message is: 'Hi, this is Vegeta, I can't come to the phone right now but if you leave your name and number, and why you woke me up, I'll hunt you down like the wretch you are!!!'
Seriously he was SOOOO cool. Hope Trunks is just as good.

I'm all blah blah blah now you've got me talking about it! I can't wait! I've never been to Sydney by myself!!

Luv, Min

I'm definately gonna try my hardest to get there! Hmmm, just wondering if I should just catch the train up in the morning, and go home that night, or if I should try and get accomodation for the night. Hmmm.......Just trying to remember which train would put me closest to Darling Harbour, although I can just walk there from Central. Miska, how would you be getting there? Maybe I could meet you somewhere and then walk down? Would you be passing through Central by any chance? Min, I am sooo jealous!! Vegeta is the best!! I sooo wanna meet Chris Sabat! Ah, but Trunks is cool too!

Hmmm

by Megana

Actually, I just checked the street directory, and it actually would be easier to meet at Town Hall. You'll be catching the train from Circular Quay, right? From there, you could catch the train that stops at Town Hall first, and I can do the same from Central, and we can meet up at Town Hall. It will be a lot closer to walk than from Museum.

Ummm, we don't really need to bring something to identify each other with, do we? I think if whoever gets there first waits out in the open somewhere that we can't miss each other.

Min, if your here, where are we gonna meet up with you? The wharft is gonna be packed, so how are we gonna find you? I'll bring on of my Ober books anyway, so you'll know it's us.

Ummm... Sydney Uni - Fri as in tomorrow (26/3) 10am works for me but that's really short notice I know. Otherwise I'm only free on Thurs until the end of term.

Sydney - I can't make it on the 15/16 April since I'll be at home for uni hols. What about sometime on the following weekend?? (I know that's Anzac Day long weekend so people might be going away) But if those dates suit everyone else better meet then and I'll come next time.

I can't garantee anything yet. I can pretty much garantee Mon, Tues, Weds cos I'm not avalible to work those days, but cos of the holidays that might change. And I also have to consider the reliablity of the trains.....

If you guys organise when and where you're gonna meet, I'll see if I can make it. If I can't, then I guess I miss out.
