Response to Rich, can you really cork the gun without interfering with...

 

It might even help to keep my fingers from getting pinched.

Holding the gun in my right hand, I close it using my left hand.

I put my thumb and fore-finger over the scope and on the gun on each side of the rear sight.

I don't put any pressure on the scope, since it's mounted on a soft plastic rail, any pressure

will deform the rail quickly. When you install your mounts, don't put them on real tight like on a steel pistol

Mine are not so loose they will move around. But, just enough to do the job.
