Can someone that owns one tell me what they think of them, please? I believe that I'm going to have Mac-1 do my 397 with the full Steroid Billet Tune. Any help would be appreciated.
A real steroid tune will only be done on C-9s and 392s, these are the .20 and .22 respectively. These calibers will benifit most from the steroid treatment. I'm sure Mac1 will do some kind of improvements to this caliber. A trigger tune and a peep sight besides better seals will be most of the benefits. Call them up. Dave
It's an old rocker safety Blue Streak that my dad bought in the 70's. Tim did the job on it about 9-10 years ago I think. The best part to me was the solid pump lever. The original sheet metal one was a little bent up and loose at the front pin. I also replaced the original pot metal front plug with a recent model brass one, made a brass but plate and put a Lyman Globe front sight on at the time. After refinishing the stock it looked like a new gun. More power too.
The new guns don't even come close to the old ones IMO. The quality just isn't there on the new ones. No walnut stock either.
