The groove under the breech O-ring gets filled with high pressure air as the pistol is fired.
After the air pressure in the barrel drops, the O-ring is still pressed tightly against the barrel breech.
If you break the gun open to reload, you may hear a very weak 'pop' and see your breech O-ring pop out of it's groove.
If you don't notice it's sticking out, the O-ring will be damaged with you close the gun after reloading.

'Scratch Fix' from Tim at MAC-1
----------
"With the supersoft Chinese seal the air can get behind it and cause it to try to jump out of the pocket when you open it up.
The fix for this is a little scratch on the inside edge of the groove so when the groove gets charged behind the seal the
pressure bleeds back into the bore during the firing cycle prior to opening the barrel.
This eliminates the tendency for the seal to pop out of the groove".

I used a sharp Exacto knife to make a tiny cut from the bottom to the top of the inside groove wall.
It's big enough for that small amount of air to leak out before you can start reloading.
