I've got an old Diana 23 (aka HyScore 813) that needed a spring for the last 10 or 15 years.

Got my pellet care package /w spring from AGE today. Installed it and it's blasting those little .177s out like crazy. It seems like there is a little too much smoke when I open the breech The oil to freshen up the leather seal is going to take a while to burn off. Mean while the MV seems like about 600 fps! It's going to be a while before I know what the real MV going to be.

Anyone ever Crony one of these?

in .177 should do 500 fps or so. Once the excess oil burns off I'm sure you'll find that it's a real good shooter, very accurate at even longer ranges.

That's about the same thing that Russ Best told me. The gun was putting them right in there yesterday and I was really surprized last night when I cleaned the bore. It was full of oily black gunk! It's a wonder it even came near the targets!

Test fired it in the basement and it seems to be smoking less after cleaning the bore, so this weekend I'll give it a good workout. (I'm waiting for another German rifle to come in late this month)!   HW97MkIII 

In the mean time, I got some plinkers to play with..
