Well I broke down and ordered a FX compressor, I've been hearing a lot of good things about them.
They are very popular I guess, two month backorder before I let the moths out of the wallet, heh.
They don't make the FX 1 anymore, just the model 2.
I can't believe how serious I'm getting into this stuff.
Ah,well life is short and I want to enjoy myself while I'm here, Full speed ahead!

I'm a handpump guy, but I Ebayed a Scuba Yoke

January 31 2005, 6:20 PM

for that 'free air' at the FT matches,
but since I checked the yoke out on my old
(1968) Scuba tank, it's too cool not to use
when I'm working on the rifle.
When it's got zero pressure, it's a real
long hard job to get it back up to 2400 again.
But, this tank gets it up to 2000 very quickly!
Finishing it with the pump is easy then..

I've got a buddy who is going to sell me
a 3000 psi scuba tank for $50 !!
(As soon as he gets the Hydro test done)..

Cheers,
Rich

I haven't got a clue

January 31 2005, 7:15 PM

The last time I was getting scuba fills, I was skinny and had hair!!
I'll have to check out the local shops and see where a close one is.
I'll bet there is something within a few miles of me..

If I do find some place real close and cheap, I might get two tanks!
My old one is a low pressure tank and is ready for the trash bin..

Cheers,
Rich

Nope not yet....

They are suppose to e-mail me when they ship it, no word as of yet and I've noticed on the AOA website that they went up on the price so now I've got to see if I get it for the old price.
I would think they would give it to me at the price advertized at that point in time, keep a customer happy for repeat business you know?
Maybe I'll give them a call and find out before they ship it because Pyramyd air has it for a little less, a couple of hundred less I believe, but I like doing biz with AOA because even though they may charge a little more on some things they check out their items before they ship them, nip the lemons in the bud, so to speak, but a couple of hundred is a couple of hundred, right?
The only thing is while I've done biz with Pyramyd in the past it was just small stuff, scopes, fittings, etc. and I don't want to find out the hard way that they might not back up what they sell.
I was trying to get a Foster snap on fitting and the double male 1/8 connecter they didn't know what I was talking about (talking to a foreign guy, language problem?)airhog wanted $26.00 just for the Foster, I guess I made a dent because now you can get the Foster and the double male together for only $16.00 @ Pyramyd

re: Nope not yet - redux

Well after I put in the last post I rechecked AOA's and Pyramyd's sites today and the AOA price is the same as when I first ordered it, I don't know what happened, I must have been looking at another web site last night when I saw the higher price, in fact the AOA price is lower than Pyramyd's by a few dollars, my apologies to AOA.
Although Pyramyd's shipping is free.
For an expensive item I'd rather deal with AOA as they back up and service what they sell as I've done biz with them before and more comfortable with them.
That's not to say Pyramyd isn't fine to deal with on expensive items, its just that I've not had the pleasure to deal with them with major items and don't know how well they back up or service them.
