I have been hunting a walker pup since he is 8 months old and, he can do it all by himself and trees every coon in the woods. His only problem is hunting, he is a very skiddish dog aand has only had one whipping for runnign a fox, he will hunt about 15 to 20 mins, and if he cant find a track, he will run thru the woods barking, then come back. i know he knows what he is out there for cause i hunt him by his self 4 to 5 nights a week and he might tree 3 a night,or maybe not get a track. But he does super good cept the hunting. My question is does anyone have any ideas on how i can get him to hunt a lil' deeper, cause when he does hunt, he usually only hunts about, 4 or 5 hundred yards. I have ask numerous people i hunt with and everyone says whip him for coming bac, but i really cant do that with him cause he is so scared of everything. please if you have any ideas, i would appreciate it.
