I have one 3 m old male puppy, UKC registrable. He will start treeing naturally during next hunting season (approximately October-December). Visit my website for information about the breed http://www.nordicart.multiservers.com/ Laika prefers hot tracks, has fast silent chase and barks only when animal is treed, stopped or stands the ground. Laika will hunt with you and for you. Squirrels by day, raccoons by night. This is the best treeing dog ever. When mature, Laika will tree or bay black bear and wild boar, where available. In the north, it is a great moose baying dog and all this is done within relatively close range, within hearing distance form the hunter. The dog is highly adaptable to any climate, where other dogs can live and hunt, from Texas and Florida to Alaska and anywhere in Canada. My dogs tree squirrels, raccoons, gray foxes and groundhogs and, occasionally, black bears and bobcats.
