I have just gotten a black and tan pup. He is only 6 weeks old. I was just playing around and got coon scent and a drag --he ran the scent and found the drag at about 12 yards. I really want to work with him but I dont want to ruin him either. Should I have done this at 6 weeks. Also, I am new to the whole coon hunting scene but I am very anxious to learn. I have been told not to pet my pup and show him attention. It is hard to have a puppy and not spend time with him. Is this true, will I ruin my dog by showing him attention at home?
