Olivia was screaming for help that reminds Basil (who was placed in the cryogenic tank) about good times that he saved Olivia's life and find her father 10 years ago but then he comes back to life to save three children form Professor Ratigan. In the other scene. Ratigan might have gone mad and then die of toxins when he's being refered a rat. In the other scene. Ratigan thinks Hiram is Basil Of Baker Street and he shots him.

In the other scene. Brian tries to save Basil because Ratigan was talking about Basil that it just kills him to look foolish like the way he did at the mousetrap and now Basil dies from depression and he was placed in the cryogenic tank in his lab at the Baker Street. (That's the idea you know).
