Ok first off im angry with so many people who only saw River in the 'famous drug light'
River was a boy of soul. Read the Red hot Chili pepper lyrics 'transending' that was written for River one of my fave songs.
The magazines only get the bad stuff out of people, thats all what some of you see.
We the FANS see him in another light a good light. Someone that never wanted any harm.
I believe the one thing he wanted from people was love. But in mose cases all people were worried about was drugs. With you people thats all its about he done drugs so his a bad person.
Believe what you want. I saw past the magazines and saw a boy who reashed out to his family and fans.
Judge me if you must but you'll only be judging yourself.

Hey Elle - I'm not going to critical of you personally, but have you ever heard the term or worries that people may have about the future of our generation? Well, this is exactly what they mean when I read your post.
NO ONE HERE has ever denied Rivers ability to act. No one has ever denied Rivers ability to do some good for others.
HE DIED OF A DRUG OVERDOSE. You know what drugs are, don't you? THEY KILL. Drugs allow our young people and old alike to waste away in front of our eyes without that persons care in the world except to get high again - until it gets to the point where they kill themselves. Worse case scenario, is that River and Co. could have gotten themselves behind the wheel of a car and killed an entire family, children, mother, father, someones spouse. There IS a GOD - because in this instance, he did NOT get behind the wheel of a car, but rather collapsed on the sidewalk before he had the chance to take an innocent life with him.
I'm not going to even try and waste my time by convincing you of any different feelings for River, but you have GOT to start reading these posts fully before you start this immature bitchfest you want so much for people to see.
River was a good actor. River was a humnitarian. River was a drug addict. River collapsed on the Viper Room sidewalk. River died on that sidewalk due to multiple drug intoxication. No one will ever be able to escape the fact that he was a serious drug addict, as well as a good actor and humanitarian. For you to believe that any and all acting/humanitarian abilities gives an immediate pass or omission of truth about his drug habits, your are being foolish - seriously misguided - or both.

Are you kidding me? In an attempt to promote a detailed argument for the sake of harmony and that's the best you can do?
I saw the same thing written on a bumper sticker once. Right along with the mud-flaps with the neked ladies on them. Was that you?
Okay, okay! I'll stop with the schoolyard comebacks already. After reading the prior posts I went into a time machine - all the way back to 5th grade. Anyway .....
I sincerely hope with as much energy you use towards Rivers memory (until someone calls him an addict and you lose complete composure) that you apply the same passion and energy to things that matter today. Teen suicide, buckeling up the seatbelts, teenage drinking. And oh yeah - drug abuse.
We are burying a family of four this week when the railroad tracks they were crossing had no warning or stop sign and were hit by the Amtrak. A father and 3 girls (ages 6, 8, and 11) killed in an intance, because some fool found it necessary to pull down a stop sign. Did I cry today? Your dam right I did. Have I shed a tear for drug addicted River? Not even a drop. He wasn't my family or friend.
But you wanna know something? Neither was the family I went to visit in their coffins tonite.
Give it some thought.

Woah, thats great taliing ICU! Its nice to see that we are sticking up for people here, but ...well..like....ICU is right, there is obviosuly some tension. so lets just take a dep breath and let it go! Seriously, its sad enough when people fight with their freinds, but with people you dont even know!
