Just wondering, HOW LOW could people sink? Like the reporter that was at the scene wen River died, i mean to MAKE UP his allegid last werds? where does somebody come off doing that? if i ever find out who that was, they're going to get a HUGE piece of my mind....I mean, don't make things up about a dead person, they're not aloive to defend themselves, it just really makes me burn!

Whoa, Blonde! I wouldn't go that far as to say he made anything up? We don't know for certain what River said. All we were saying is that if River said something personal to his sister, then that's how it should remain. Personal .

I don't know who the photographer is, whether he's a famous photographer or just another paparazzi out for a quick buck, but what I do know is .... what a man! He must be a pretty decent guy considering he never took the first photo of the famous River during his collapse. Lord knows he could have, and would have made an incredible amount of money as well. Copyrights included. He was well within his right to take photos on a public sidewalk of anything he wanted. But he did not. I'm glad. He sounds like good people to me .

I agree completely! There are not many people in this world anymore that would give up a great deal of money to protect someone's privacy, but this gentleman did. Kudos to him!

I'm not convinced by what I have read that he "made up" these last words. Granted, there is some debate about when he actually died (in the bathroom, in the bar, or on the sidewalk). But, if actually took his last breath on the sidewalk, then he could very well have said those words.

Bottom line - we weren't there, so we'll never know. But I wouldn't be annoyed at a reporter (obviously one with a kind soul) when we really don't know what was or wasn't said.

But as RP clarified, his last words were to his sister Rain, out on the sidewalk, that is one thing that their family, has, but it's really cool to THINK we knew his last words.....tho we do not.

River was a great person and people shouldn't say things about someone like him. That reporter needs hi ass kicked.
I mean really they should have stopped and thought about it first before they wrote anything. They didn't know him so they should of left him and his family and friends alone.

Hey guys! I must say that I respect the photographer Ron Davis, but to some extent! Yeah, sure, he didnt take any photos of River on the sidewalk.....Good for him! But, how do we really know that he actually made up Rivers last words! You might say he quoted it in a magazine, but how many things get screwed up in magazines these days! All these 'articles' if you could call them that anymore, in my opinion , are not more than rubbish! These days, reporters will stop at nuthing to get a good story, and that includes making up rumours and even fidling with quotes and lying to make anything sound believable! He may have said that, but if he had enough respect not to take any photos of Riv on the sidewalk, why would he bother blowing the respect he won with making up Rivers last words for the attention! Watching River pass would get him enough attention, so im asking why he's make Rivers last words up! Think about it!
