Off the top of my head I can recall Mickey Rourke (Angel Heart & Johnny Handsome), Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise (Interview with the Vampire), Jamie Foxx (Ray), John Goodman (Rosanne - he still lives here), Dan Akroyd (House of Blues), and (ugh!) Spitney Spears (she still lives here). Earlier years the Labyorteux brothers Pat & Matt were pretty common. (Jag & Little House series) Only seen them around the area because of either movies they were making or because they live here (or nearby). New Orleans constantly has some movie or another filming. "Dukes of Hazzard" recently wrapped up, but I went home to sleep rather than waiting by Lee circle for the chase scene. I was TIRED! Famous Cajun Chef Justin Wilson was a regular customer at a restaurant I worked with many years ago. He drank room temperature Boug/Burgandy wine with breakfast. He passed away years ago - but he's still famous in the south of America anyway.

Since we're on the subject, Johnny Depp is a possibility in the coming months because they will be filming another "Pirates" on the Mississippi River (that's Homeland Security territory)

I know that River was to have been the journalist in "Interview", and then Christian Slater took his place. I don't know if River would have ever made it to NOLA since the reporters notes were based in L.A., not New Orleans where Lastat and Louis lived.

Oh wait - and Richard Pryor for "The Toy" (pre-free basing era), and Carroll O'Conner, Hugh O'Conner etc. from "In the Heat of the Night" series. Caroll O'Conner went to the same Catholic church we went to every week for filming. Poor priests eyes nearly bugged out of his head when he saw O'Conner in the front pews. HEE! O'Conner was a pretty decent guy - very generous and nice. And finally Annie Potts and distant cousin Chris Mulkey from the "Any Day Now" series. Chris Mulkey is a cousin on my mothers side, but we are not very close I'm sorry to say.

HEY JIGGY! Your good at this ... by six degrees of Kevin Bacon, who have I had an interlude with, hmmmm ???? HEE! Lemme know - I'm anxious to know myself . And it better not be with cousin Chris. That's just nasty.

I've always wanted to know what it was like to be an "Extra" in movies. Anyone? Anyone?

I live in the LA area so it's not out of the ordinary to see celebrities often. I've ran into many and not even realized who they were until they passed me, but I work in event production, so I've had to put together certain events where I've come in contact with some.

The ones off the top of my head that stand out and I actually conversed with or whatever would be:

1) Johnny Depp, he was the only one I ever really got ga-ga over meeting. He was at a club party my ex took me too, and my ex worked in promotions for a record company, so I was able to get into the VIP room and meet him. He was really great and funny. A total sweetheart. We got to hang out with him for about an hour until he left with friends. Really great guy and picures don't do the man justice.

2) Vin Diesel, who my friend met at a club here in LA, and hung out with a few times. I met him during one of the times they hung out, but I wasn't impressed or attracted to him. He seemed pretty full of himself too.

3) Cameron Diaz bitched out a friend of mine at Kitson when we were there once. She was trying to say we stole her dressing room that she was trying clothes on. We didn't, we had it first, but I guess she thinks everyone should just hand shit over to her, or something. She's seriously ugly in person and has a major case of adult acne.

4) Olivier Martinez was drunk in the hallway of our hotel room floor in Vegas during my birthday. He was screaming down the halls and disturbing everyone. Hotel manager ended up telling him to shut up or leave.

5) Jean Claude Van Dam was at a club we were at for a friends birthday party. He kept talking to us, and when we ignored his nasty ass, he got angry and started calling us bitches in his weird-ass accent.

6) Paris Hilton, which isn't really a big deal, because if you go out to clubs here, you usually see her anyways. But I happened to be at the same club she was at the night her and Shannon Doherty got in a bitch slapping fight over the nasty freak Rick Solomon.

7) Pamela Anderson, when my guy friend took me to a house party in Malibu she was there with some people. I think she was with David LaChapelle or something cause she kept hanging with him. My guy friend got drunk and went over and started kissing her hand. He made a real ass of himself.

8) Val Kilmer, ran into him when I was paying my bill at a restaurant and he was in front of me in the line. He turned around and said Hi, he seemed nice enough.

I know, lol. Well, I use to think she was kinda pretty from movies she had done, but after seeing her that day at Kitson, my mind was changed.

We were just trying on some clothes, and we went back out to look for a different size, and I swear I didn't even see her, until we went back to the dressing rooms and she was yelling because we had our stuff in there and tried to say she had the dressing room first. But she didn't. I never even saw her.

So my big mouthed friend started swearing at her and telling her to go find her on dressing room. She only wanted that one because it was the biggest. I guess she thought because of who she was we were just gonna give it up to her,but I truly didn't care and she wasn't getting shit from me, so she stormed off to another room, and we made fun of her the rest of the time, loud enough for her to hear it, lol.

She didn't look good though. I wish I would've taken a pic with my cell phone, but I'm kinda glad I didn't, months later I read her, and her weirdo-lookin' boyfriend beat up a photographer and stole his camera simply for getting a pic of them as they were leaving a restaurant. I definetly didn't want to have to physically rumble with Cameron inthe middle of my favorite store.

But her hair looked greasy like she hadn't washed it in days, and she had little or no make-up on, and her face was covered with acne. It was real bad, and I thought it was hysterical to think that men probably fantasize about her.

Speaking of Cameron and what she looked like, I saw a show on Fox the other night (I was REALLY bored) that had pictures of what celebrites looked like without make-up. Now I feel sure that this show dug up the worst possible pictures of these folks, but man, I would go out in my back yard looking like that! My Mom taught me that when I go out, I have my hair fixed and make-up on AND something decent on my body!

Enough of my tangent and back to the original topic... I'm am sitting square in the middle of the South (Tupelo, MS), so I never see anyone famous. I can say that my Mom and her family grew up next door to Elvis Presley and played with him when he was little before the Presleys moved to Memphis.

They are one hot pair (apart from the fighting) but we cant belive all of it i spose! I would love to meet Chad Michael Murray or Joaquin! Hay, i no you guys mught laugh at me for suggesting, byt Paris Hiltons best bud Nicole, i started to take a liking to her apperance! I mean, before.....she was seriously messed up! She was inti drugs, and i mean....look who she hung out! You gotta seriously be messed up to think that Paris 'Horeton'(sorry for using that word, but cmon, whore is the word), she is anything but a friend or a role model! Nicole has snapped out of it, she is off the drugs, and she is dressing really nicely! I say good on her! I mean, she got off the drugs and belived she could change, but the difference between Riv and Nicole is that Rib didnt want to trouble people woth his problems, and Nicole just CRAVED the attention, but either way, she told the drugs to piss of! So good for her!

Princess! You said about Cameran Diaz:

"she had little or no make-up on, and her face was covered with acne. It was real bad, and I thought it was hysterical to think that men probably fantasize about her."

I would swear you were talking about Britney Spears - HEE! We don't see her around and about as much as we used to. But about 2 years ago we were at the movies and she was there. I didn't get a close up look, but my 16 year old nephew who worked behind the snack bar did. He told me "make up does ALOT for her", talking about how good she looks in videos. Because in reality her face was covered in acne bumps. The half inch thick pancake make up she was wearing didn't help any at all, says he.

Needless to say, my nephew had no longer fantasized about Spitney. He also said she was pretty stuck up as well. I'm not surprised.

And lets all keep in mind next time movie stars ask us to donate to their worthy causes. Remember what their priorities are ...... DRESSING ROOMS !

Oh, and the celebrities without make - up? Double HEE! Just when I thought they were gonna look like us regular people .... good grief they actually looked worse. Shameful of me, I know .

Wow you've all met amazing people that's so cool!! I met Brooke Shields while she was jogging one time. She looked gorgeous even without make-up and jogging. She was extremely friendly too. I guess I must have looked amazed when I saw her, because she said, "Hi! then she laughed and said "Yes, it's me!" I told her I liked her a lot and she smiled and said "thank you so much." She was so nice!!!

Last year I saw Uma Therman at the fair too! She moved up near where I live, and I'm sorry to say that she's not too pretty or nice in person.

However, what you guys said about like Cameron Diaz and Britney Spears being really bitchy and/or stuck-up. . maybe they were having a bad day or something. Because they are human as well and can be grouchy. But then again, i wouldn't be surprised if they are really mean. It's sad to think that Cameron Diaz is a bitch because she was such a sweet character in "There's Something about Mary."! But I have heard that Tom Cruise is the biggest jerk. haha

Last summer I saw Kelly Clarkson (from American Idol) at the Hard Rock Cafe in Los Angeles. We were sitting next to her for about 30 minutes before I even realized who she was. She looked alot different in person. Her hair was up in a messy ponytail and she had alot of acne scars. Later that day, we went to the farmer's market and I saw Anthony Micheal Hall (Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, more recently The Dead Zone) He looked exactly the same as he does on TV. This is a little embarrassing, but when I was 13, I saw a couple of the guys from New Kids on The Block , they came to our town for a concert and my best friend and I had this great idea to hang out at the hotel they were staying at. Little did we realize that about 500 other girls had the same idea .

Hey Ally, regarding Kelly Clarkson, what did she do on World Idol? I never saw it. As far as the day I saw her at the Hard Rock..well, my sister was eavesdropping on her conversation (big no-no, but anyway ), and supposedly, Kelly's credit card was declined, and the waiter told her that her meal was on the house. Nice huh? Someone with more than enough money gets a free meal, and people who could use a free meal have to go without. Anyway, I know that this is an old message, but I've been out of town for a while and it looks like I've missed alot. Take care.

That must have been a veeeery long time ago - Corey Feldman was recognized as a "Star" at 3 years old when he made a particular McDonalds Christmas time commercial. The commercial ran for 5 years straight. Did they babysit him perhaps?

Haha, Oh really Curious! Yeah , you are right! If she couldnt use her credit card,. Im sure she had some money in her wallet anyway, and poor people on the streets and thrown out, or told to go away, or to get out, when all they are looking for is some food, the world needs a serious wake up call! Take a bit from your plate, and give to others with nothing on their plate, is what I say!
Well curious, Because she came second In World Idol, she had a big hissy fit, and was screaming how she should have won, because she deserved it more, and the winner sucked or something! And backstage....where all the action happens, Guy Sebastian, who was representing Aussie Land, congratulated Kelly on a great job, and said well done ect, and she snapped at him, because she was in such a bad mood, and told him to beat it :S....Owww, the drama....For God's sake....shes apparnelty a real drama queen, but you cant beleieve everything you read, but Im not going by what I read, Im going by what Guy said on a TV Interview lol, He is a really nice guy, and he just said that she was really Unpleasnt! Oh well Take care!

Hahaha Regina, you know, I really dont like Tom Cruise!
Its amazing the way he carries on! On 'Opera', when asked about Katie Holmes, he was jumping on the sofa, carrying on, screaming how much he loved her, jumping around....acting like a fricken maniac, but when on a TV Interview for Chanell 9 news, and was asked the same question about Katie, he told that interviever off, saying he was out of line and got all pissy, when he was just asked the same question he answered so crazy to Opera Winfrey....amazing....what is it, are Aussies looked down upon? He looks like a real jerk, but I do think he is cute...but looks can only get you so far, and looks like Tom is kinda pushin the envelope these days, because apparently he isnt that popular anymore!

Hey Ally ~ Not at all. Aussies are not looked down upon at all. It's just that many Hollywood celebrities think they are high above everyone and everything else.

Oh - Cruise did the same thing to Matt Lauer on "Good Morning America". Cruise got all pissy when asked why he insulted another actress. I had to start laughing out loud when Cruise said "You don't know the history of Psychiatry - I DO!". Bahahahaha! Cruise went on some stupid spiel about how he's researched psychiatry and is versed in the field. Hmmmmm, I don't see M.D. or Ph. D. behind Cruises name. And considering his attitude, I doubt we ever will.

All is going well with baby . I'm about half-way through now, and already feel some fluttering movement so far. A month from now, the baby movement will be constant. We still don't know if we are having a boy or girl - but a healthy baby is all that concerns me .

I think Josh Hartnett is really handsom! I loved that movie 'O'. It was a bit disturbing though, but it had Rain in it! Good movie !

Hey fellow travell companion!

Yes, Rain was in 'O'. It was a good movie...It is a modern day version on Shakespears 'Othello'! Its good! Its about a ambitious 18 year old boy called Hugo(Josh.H), he tries to destruct lives, and Rain plays Emily, who is desperatly looking for romance, and is looking at Hugo to find it! The movie ends with Emily being shot, Odin killing himself because of what Hugo did, he manipulated and lied to Odin, to get him to kill one of their best friends Michael(Andrew Keegan) , and O's Girlfriend Desi (Julia Stiles)! Odin, because he was lied to by Hugo, kills Desi, and Hugo sets up for another character Roger to kill Michael!
Hugo tells Odin to keep an eye on Michael and Desi, because he suspects they are going off behind Odins back, and Desi is secretly cheating with Michael! It breaks O's heart, and eventually, Hugo manipulates Odin into killing Desi, which he does, Rain walks in on it, and reveals the truth, how Hugo lied, and Hugo shoots Emily in the stomach! Its a seriously destructive story line, but overall, wasnt too painfull to watch!

Just scary that some people can really be like that! Its just....horrible! I wrote my english essay on the movie for my trails for the school certificate! I was the only one in the year chose it, so I feel good about that, no competition!

TINZY. Did you know, that in real life, Robin Williams is not funny at all! He is actually quite funny! He is only funny in the movies, but without scripts, he is no funny man! He is quite pathetic! Try watching the bloopers from his movies on the DVD'S, Such as Patch Adams, he is funny in some bits, but You just want to turn the TV off watching him carry on! He's quite lame, so next time, If i ever see him, Ill laugh in his face and see how he likes it!

Nat - Aaaaarrrrrggghhh!!! :P Hey, I brought Joaq into that thread, I gave our little club its name, and I get to sit in his lap when we travel - while you and Ally only get to sit beside him! :P :P If anyone gets to be leader of the JTB, it should be me! After all, Ally is too young for him, and you're expecting a lil' one with your boyfriend! :P I also have another distinct advantage: I don't live far from him! HA! I'm just right for Joaq - at least that's what HE said! ;P

Hmph...go away for a couple of days and your so-called pals try to steal your guy. LOL. To THINK I was actually about to share some incredible Joaq links with you two...

He is obviously not worth your time, because if he was, you would still be with him! Things happen for a reason, and maybe you will find a nice caring guy one day soon, and someone who will want to share the joy of a baby! You deserve it! You'll find someone else!

OMG Nat!!!! I cannot believe that! I am sooooooo sorry!! You poor thing. Not that you can't take care of yourself or anything - just that the motherf----r had the nerve to do that to you AT ALL, let alone with you pregnant! Jesus! That bastard. Want to tell me where he lives? I can put a hit out on him if necessary!! :P I know this sounds like a dismissal of the severity of this situation, but know it's so NOT: at least this happened now before the baby comes so you can figure things out and map out a plan for yourself and the baby. Does that make sense? I just mean that you have time now to try to get things sorted out WITHOUT HIM before baby's arrival. Oh God, Nat. What are you going to do? I know you're young, and this must be so hard. Do you have supportive family and friends to talk to? People who can help you, maybe even stay with you (at least a while) to help you with the baby? I hope so. I would volunteer to help you in a heartbeat, but there's this little thing called the Atlantic Ocean separating us. Email me if you want to talk, ok? REALLY. My current email is "cynnakitty13@aol.com" - I'd really love to hear from you if you feel like writing, ok? We can talk about this, or just Joaq! I'm sure he'd be happy to be an honorary uncle to your baby. I read something recently about how much he loves being an uncle, and that he was even in the delivery room with one of his sisters (Liberty, I think) when she gave birth - and he cut the cord for her son! Isn't that sweet? Anyway, you've got my support through this, Nat - don't forget that. I'm a great listener, and I'm not particularly stingy with my advice. Certainly never stingy with my help!! PLEASE take care of yourself!

And Ally - you can email me, too, my fellow JTBer!

Its horrible what he did, and he will get his own in the end! I can tell you, not many woman are going to want to be with a guy like that! In no way is that attractive! Its dispicible!
Hahahah JC, Your quote 'I would be there ina heartbeart, except there is this thing sperating us called the Atlantic Ocean', It made me laugh!
And Nat. Just because we cant be with you, dosent mean you cant lean on su for support! Anything you need to talk about, we are here, kk bubs!

thanks a lot guys. i just can't believe this has happened. it just came out of nowhere and i don't know how i'll get through it but edges are made of strong stuff (that's my family) so i'll get through it somehow. i've got a beautiful baby inside me and just knowing that will help me cope. i've got my beautiful baby to look forward to and i'm so so happy that at least that will bring some joy in my life. apart from a baby the one other thing that cheers me up and makes me smile is JTB!! i love being in our little club and it makes me feel special. all my life i've searched for people to be my friend and be on my side when the going gets tough so i'm so overjoyed to have found jc (joaq's first) and ally (joaq's second). baby will not want mummy to be sad so i'll hold my head up high and show that motherf--ker that i can live without him. i wish i had found out what a liar and cheater he was before the baby was even thought about but the baby is here and it's going nowhere so i will carry on for that. i mean this from the bottom of my broken heart-i am so glad to have 2 beautiful supportive people on my side-you are forever my girls and fellow joaquin's travelling brigade so with your support i'll get through his bump in my road in the road of life if that's what you can call it. so to jc and ally i'll give a special mention-i thank you for your kind words and your offer of support. forever we will have a special bond (JTB) and we're in this together. i would be over the moon if joaquin accepted my offer to be uncle to my child

Nat - Hon, the JTB is always here for you, ok? It is a fun thing we've created, and I think we can create some real friendships out of it, too. Hey, we should seriously tell Joaq (somehow!) that he brought the three of us together, LOL. I'm glad you emailed me, Nat, and I hope you got my response. I know you must be hurting like hell (not to mention angry as hell), but you seem to have a good, strong attitude about this - that'll help you get through it. And I mean it, Nat - I AM HERE FOR YOU! I know I can't be there with you physically, but know I'm there in spirit and available to talk anytime. Try hard to stay positive because you will survive this and come through even stronger - with a precious gift in a few months. Hey, since I claim Joaq, does that mean I get to be your baby's aunt??

Yeah Nat- Joaq did bring us together you know? And so it should stay! We have made a good friendship, and thats a nice thing! We are close, and we havent even met! Im sure Joaquin would be happy he helped with that! Well it just shows, you might not know these people personally, but it dusnt stop us for being there for u! Cuz we will be! As members of the JTB and friends! You have been really possitive from what I have seen, your attitude and all! Not all pissy, just calm and reasonable, and willing to take the bad and move on, and look at the possitives, which are the baby, and the support which will be there for you any time you need it!
That will get you VERY far in life, willing to accept things, and let them go! It will help you! And as far as I can see, it is paying off! SO remember, We are here for you! Take Care xoxox Ally

And hey - I want in on your LA trip!! Even though I'm on east coast US, I've sadly never been to the west coast. You do know we'll have to pick Joaq up in New York on the way, though - I can't fly without him, LOL!
