my friend is currently making plans and ideas to create a book about the life of river. she wants to focus on things from fans which will include pictures, poems, anything. she is trying only to focus on the life of river and his performances and not all the rumors about him.
but she doesnt want to start creating it until she tries to contact a member of Rivers family. she wants to do this to see if any family members wouldnt like the idea. if they didnt then she shouldnt go ahead with it.
so if anyone knows how to get in contact or even just an address to post a letter explaining what she wants to do. i heard that RP is a relative of river but im not sure if s/he still comes around here.
if anyone knows any addresses please either reply here or email me at
l_fisher90@hotmail.com
thanks in advance.

I think she'd be hard pressed to find a publisher that would want to invest in the topic. There are several books out now that include River's death. Plus someone just published one and it's for sale over the web. Basically, all the books say the same thing and have nothing new to report. It will be 12 years in October that he died and you have to wonder if there would be any market for such a book. I'm sure some of the hardcore fans that hang on this site would buy it.

yeah, come to think about it, just how many books are there on this. not just biographies but the hollywood tragedy books. i uses a book called "too young to die" for that essay i was researching on celebrities and drugs, it was released a few years before the deaths of river and chris farley. any books on this subject released in the last 10 years is probably going to have some of this included, so if your friend in serious about this i suggest they might want to check some of these out. also try a couple of academic journals, you might not find much but its worth a shot.

I agree.
People that have a book on him, dont want to get another book.
Maybe if she made a video.
At least its something to watch about him, instead of read.
You can include Fans.*the people on here*, people who he worked with. Family, friends. Pictures, poems, speaches.
Anything is possible if you just believe.

I've always found "timelines" amazing. Most books are written that way of course, but actual periodicles give you a document in history that no "hearsay" can touch, especially after 11 years.
Several months ago, I spent hours and hours at the college library researching the murder of an old friend. I was not too interested in news articles at the age of 12, but years later - it was surreal to see the timeline of events that lead up to her being found in the woods and her murderer caught. From day one of the investigation, facts that weren't very obvious then, that were one week later. Photographs in newspapers and eyewitnesses tend to get lost over time. But with enough research you can find those names and photographs that have been slumbering. I did.
I don't know where you live, but best chances for rare articles can probably be found within the California and Florida universities on microfilm.
