I am sure there are some SICK people who would buy it, there are a lot of wierd people in this world. I also beleive it is very sad, just wondering if legally the family could now do something to stop the people from making money off of thier loss. By the way, who did you write your complaint to?

Re: Wow

the whole issue about the photo being in public domain complicates things. in theory as the picture is available to anyone on the net through various sites anyone could print it off if they wanted (though why they would want to doesn't bear thinking about). but printing it off to sell sounds really odd, i suppose it can be done through one of those digital photo quality printers, but it still would not be a genuine print, and the quality of the print might not be that good.

personally i wouldn't be surprised if the whole set up was a con operation. once again i think who ever took this photo (or arranged it) was scum even by paparazzi standards. dispite thier faults at least not of them was willing to stoop so low as to take a shot of him dying outside the club.

ally, did you say it was a different image to the one linked on this site?

oh just gone back and re-read your post ally, that is worrying. i don't know if the national enquirer showed more than one image of river in the coffin, but if this is a new never before seen image the reproudction of the image might be a genuine print. i suggest river's family look into the seller and seek legal advice asap, but due to the internet being almost impossible to police i (unfortunatly) wouldn't be surprised if this cropped up again.

owning something that not many other people will have? yeah and i wonder why that is! collectors items are one thing but photos of a dead movie star? be serious!

most collectables are a nice conversation piece, but seriously are you gonna bring people home (friends maybe prospective girlfriends/boyfriends) and say "hey wanna see a photo of a famous dead guy?"

my god we get some wierdoes here.

It's along the same lines of having your grandma's funeral on the internet and me taking pictures of her, without you or your family's permission (or even with it), putting them on the internet, and then selling them on stuff. It's still things you wouldn't have a chance at a lot of later, but does that make it ok?

I find that the Selena picture there was just as offensive, even though her family sold that picture to the press. I think that site trivializes the deaths of people. Censorship is something else entirely. Do I think River's or any other celebrity needs to be shown in their last moments as a final tribute? Not really. I think it's awful there are pictures of River, Selena, etc. in their coffins. I think it's sad, we as a world want to see stuff like that. I think it's worse that they're on the net. But no one argues that the terrorist victims that are shown with their brains all over the place, or dead, or worse, is just as bad. But, and here's the amlighty but, if you start making it where these public domain works are censorewd, then you also have to look at the rest of it. Next it will be Mark Twain, J.R.R. Tolkien, and the rest of the books, then it will be music, then it will be lifestyle choices, then it will be furniture, then it will be children's names..and so on.

If you can run into unsavory pictures or River on the net or not, you also know that most imaging engines you have to make the pictures larger to really see details. Go over it. By pass it. Even protest it. This is one of the luxuries of being in America and on the net.

But be very careful of censorship. It will lead to things we never dreamed of.

To Eric.M

Do you wonder why not many people have ordered it? Its because not everyone has problems in their head! Why you find that appealing....man I have no idea....but thats just sad! You would be doing River a favour if you didnt buy that!

Think of his family, and friends and the pain they are going through....and that as we speak....they are trying to get rid of that Fricken photo! EVERY copy of that photo, and neggative from the photo...anything to do with that photo should be burned! I cant satnd to think why people would actually want it......but there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with you if you do!

Well, when you are looking at the exapmple of the photo,....somwehere down the bottom it says something about writing to them! So i complained there! Please follow my lead!

LOL, well I've just geographically located myself. In Texas and in communities of Hispanics, Selena was set to become the Mexican Madonna. She was a hispanic singer that was huge here in Texas and in Mexico.

I dint even hear about Joaquin going into rehab, because it wasnt in a single magazine! How weird is that?

Quick Summary ashely: No, someone broke into(supposably) the funeral home, re-arranged the body and took photos! Why, because it was a quick way to get a few thousand dollars! AND, because they have no conscience! Thats why we have all seen it, because I coukdnt beleieve someone would do it and I had to see it for myself! Beleive me, the photo is real!
