I have E Mailed you regarding how as his cousin I grew up with River with my family in COG, and I have a hard time still chatting about it all thease years later. It would have been much worse for me if not for River.

As far as River, he loved the art, he did NOT like when people put him on a pedistal, but he dealt with it as he loved the acting. :)He just loved peple. Oh, I forgot, I will ALWAYS BE LOGGED IN WHEN, AND IF I POST, AS RP75. I STATED THIS IN A PRIOR POST A LONG TIME AGO.

He was VERY smitten with Samantha. They had alot in common. :)As far as his personality, he was very warm and loving. He felt for people, and cared more for others than he ever did for himself. He would talk to people, and out of the blue he would say, "You know, you are so special, and beautiful." River saw the best in everyone.
One thing I keep in my mind alot is this one time when a sick boy wrote him a fan letter, and River immediately called this boy to cheer him up, encourage him, and build him up. He spoke to this kid for an extended period of time, and he really gave alot of himself to this child. River just admired the childs strength and willingness to fight.
Anyway, I hope this gives you a bit of insite. :)I am sorry but I usually do not share much on here, and I will not get more personal, but his supporters should know what he really stood for.

Oh, wow, that is really sweet! I never doubted that he would be a nice person, because he just seemed to be, and I dont think you needed to have any proof when it came to River's kindness! Im so sorry that this world lost such a beautiful person, with a heart filled with love, because it trully is our loss, and yes , we have had time to get over his death, but It doesnt stop us from loving him, and thanking him for the good examples he left, not the bad ones! People say that he was a bad role model, but why, because he took drugs? Yeah, Ok, some obsessed fans could be REALLY obsessed, and might follow his footsteps, bot you gotta remember, he never said anything about drugs being ok, he never talked about his usesage when it came to drugs, he didnt speak out about them being good, he never expected let alone encourage people to use them! He used them because of his own problems, bceuase he had problems with how to deal with life, and because he was such a kind soul, its not hard to beleive!
Girls/People who just like him for his looks are so sad and pathetic, because thats not all River was about, and as I said before, we have had time to get over his death, but we can still reflect on the impact, the good impact he left on people, people that still respect him,for who he was, excepting his flaws and the beauty on the inside and out, and I am one of those people!

Thanks, RP, for sharing that information. I always assumed River had a gentle, kind soul--but it sounds like it was even more beautiful than I realized. So sad that that beautiful soul was also so very full of pain and conflict, too...

Hi RP i know that you always log in now so, i wont believe anything this imposter has to say.
River will always be someone i see in a great light. I never knew him but feel as though we would of got on great. I hope that when the time comes i will be able to have my dream.

When River got into Hollywood and 'presumebly' was less in touch with his family, then what kind of relationship did he have to them? Did you meet him often in the 90's for example? Oh and btw, do you visit Across The Ways message board?
