Hi everyone! I just joined this board. The main reason I joined is because of River Phoenix, obviously, but also because I've heard that his cousin is on this board?? Is this true? If so, I think that's incredibley amazing to have a family member to talk to! Could someone just clear that up for me? Thanks!

"RP" MADE herself a topic of conversation of the "Death of River Phoenix" discussion boards by claiming to be a relative/cousin of "River Phoenix". Definetly a TOPIC of conversation on these boards. RP got what she wanted - attention. Unfortunately NOT the sympathetic attention she thought she deserved somehow.

No doubt, the dubious legend of RP remains on these boards - although most of us have just started emailing one another privately. Not because we are "banned" from such conversation - it's just that RP's claims are indeed a WASTE of time. Let's move on.

hi, welcome to the board. i feel i should warn you that this site is called morbidly hollywood for a reason, we discuss the bad as well as the good, so with that in mind this might not be the site for you. feel free to stick around if you want, but if you are expecting blind praise for river might feel comfortable elsewhere.

as for your inquiry, we do have a person who claims to be his cousin, however whether or not this person is genuine is another matter. though this person may say she is a relative, the internet offers people the chance to pretend to be someone else (i could claim to be cameron diaz). quite a few people are begining to doubt the authenticity of this poster. i haven't been here for a while so i don't know the exact situation, but i get a strong indication that rp is NOT who "she" says she is.

First off, welcome Leslie.
The person who was claiming to be River's cousin offends reason to be realted to him. She was a sicko who fooled a few people on here, including me. She took advantage of the situation and lied to get us to believe that she was related to him, and believing her was the biggest bloody mistake I ever made....well one of em' anyway.

To answer your question properly, as exciting as it may have sounded, she was deffantly not River's cousin. She was caught out by a few members on here (ICU, ana, Jiggy Jam and others I think), so thank God we have them here.
