If you'd had the chance to meet rio in life, what would you have said or asked him? would you be tongue tied ,your leg's turn to jello and collapse in front of him in an embarrased heap?
or would you pretend that you did'nt know who he was and just start up a friendly conversation with him although you try not to blush?

Haha, I'd prolly turn extra red, like the more I'd try not to blush, the faster my face would turn the colour of the traffic-light, lol:p! But even then I'd jump on the ocassion (if not on River himself, lol, I'd try to get a hold of myself though, act my age, lol) and I'd pluck up courage to invite him to join me to a smart conversation over a coffee:p Hehe, that'd be the day:)!

Hmmmmm - if I saw River, or Keanu even , I would be star struck if I saw them in an open forum such as an awards ceremony, red carpet, etc. But I can also say if I saw them in the middle of a working situation, such as volunteering like we saw after Katrina? Some stars (and only a few I might add) would blend right in with us working class you would forget they are a celebrity. A couple of good examples are John Travolta, John Goodman, Jamie Foxx and Mickey Roarke. These 4 celebrities I have come in contact with during movie shoots and hurricane relief. All of them got their hands dirty right along with the rest of us, and didn't seem to care about their celebrity status.
What celebrities do (pardon me) "whore" themselves for the camera in the most difficult of circumstances to appeal to the public? Sean Penn and Susan Sarandon. These two have visited the South a few times for movies and at least once for Penn after Katrina. I'm glad Penns boat sank - HEE! Cruel of me, I know. But Penns purpose was to make a political statement in our worst of times and was absolutely NOT going to leave his camera crew behind. This wad of a man tries in every way possible to take peoples dire circumstances and turn it into political diversity that when it came to his stupid rescue boat sinking, he got what he deserved. Those watching just shook their head in disbelief. And laughed.
Whew - good question! I always appreciate a good vent when I see one !

This last fall my daughter was listening to Disney Radio, and she won a prize.
The prize were free tickets to the movie Something About My Folks with Paul Reiser, and Peter Falk in attendence at the end.
Being here in the literal middle of the country it is almost impossible to see any one famous.
But of all things my daughter got the attention of Paul Reiser, and she asked him why he decided to preview his movie right here in K.C. His gracious answer was we came here just to see you, Ashley, just to see you. Which was impressive on how kind a famous person can choose to be.
And of course when they both walked in at the beginning there were a lot of stretching necks as well as mouths falling open.
It gave us bragging rights for awhile to have seen such famous people to our family.

Man of Faith ---->" His gracious answer was we came here just to see you, Ashley, just to see you. "
Aaaaawwww! Man o' Faith - that is the kindest thing I have heard about a celebrity in a long, LONG time ! Good for your daughter - and good for Kansas City (?)!
You should search the web for some of those "celebrity sightings" websites, where us everyday folk get to write about our personal experiences with celebrity sightings. That makes for a great story, especially when most of the public can be "snubbed" by a supahstah if you know what I mean.
Great story!
P.S. Oh, I almost forgot - Man o' Faith, I'm a woman, not a dude . I noticed you mentioned "he" or "man" when referring to my posts a couple of times, and not sure if you were thinking I was a guy or just a figure of speech . Take care.

I'm sorry Keanu'slover. I'm not sure why I assumed such a thing. But its funny how a person can build up in their minds what the person is like while reading these blogs. I thought all this time you were a single dad with your children living in a small town. Isn't that kind of funny. It only makes sense now that I actually study your name that you'd be a lady, but it may take a little while to change my mind set.
One thing I know for sure about you is your responses have been just as sharp as a tack during my time on this forum.
In fact more then once I've been taken back a little because of the information you've provided, and how fast you think on your feet concerning other's responses. You are very, very smart.

Nope - I am a wife of 15 years, 3 children (our youngest a son - 8 months old), a former NOPD (New Orleans Police Dept - yes, I worked dispatch through Katrina), our home destroyed by Katrina, now living an hour from the Big Easy in the country. I love living in the country, it's where I grew up. But NOLA is where my true work has been for years. I haven't gone back into law enforcement (yet!), but most likely will in the future. Maybe when I catch up on some sleep, which might be .... ooohhh .... let's say IN ABOUT 5 YEARS !!!!!!!

Keanu'slover;
I have a lady cousin here in Kansas who has been an officer for over twenty years. Although I guess now she is a police detective.
On top of that there is a terrific community policing officer who was in our neighborhood until she got unwillingly transferred to another neighborhood. When she worked my neighborhood a person could see her driving around, and really doing so much good for our area.
With out individuals who work on the police force society would truly be lost.

I would have loved to have met river in this life, it upset's me the fact that I never.... but if I did I would have told him what a special person he was and an inspiration to million's of people worldwide..... maybe when I pass on I will have that opportunity to tell him.
And no I would'nt be starstruck......he was just a normal young man with no air's or grace's.
