okay so this is the 2nd largest Buddah in Japan lots of people were praying to him here but i shot over them!!:
this is one of the shrines on mijima island- you fan the insense towards you to clense you:
this is the beach in Yokohamma:
the peace park in Hiroshima- you can see the atom bomb dome through the arch, because of the nucleur bombing there, Hiroshima prides itself on being a city of peace. ALL the kids and teenagers in Japan make the peace sign when having ANY photo taken- its just become the thing to do:
the view from the top of mijima island:
most of the views in Japan are like this- very peacefull and serene- its a beautiful country.
trying (lamely) to keep it somewhat River related- i can say we flew into Narita airport where he did on one of his trips out there, i've seen pictures of him in the airport so can also say they have not redecorated in about 15 years! lol! x

WAY COOL!!!!! Thank you SOOOO much for posting the pics! I loved seeing them. As for it being off topic, I'll make it on topic for you so here I go . River was a worldly individual. He loved nature and earth and it's my bet that he would have loved to learn about and appreciate different cultures. So, which one of the pics rikki posted to you think Riv would have like most and why?

I think River would of liked the last pic the most because it shows the world as a beautiful, natural thing..very peaceful and serene, it gives off a very calming effect.

Yeah, Val... I also think he'd like the third one, because he loved the sea, the beach... Thank you for the photos, Rikki:)! I know River really enjoyed visiting Japan!

Izzyrules, it has nothing to do with River which is why I put the wink in my post as I tried to relate it somehow for complainers like you. I don't think anyone else is bothered by the pics being posted here. Some of us have been on this board a long time and have gotten to "know" each other somewhat. So, when one of us expresses an interest in something and another has the opportunity to share then I think that's cool. It seems from reading your post that you rather like coming here and putting people and topics down. It's almost as if you have nothing better to do. If everything here is "boring" and the people here are "pathetic" as you stated earlier than you are free to stop coming here. If you're here because of an honest interest in River then great. Welcome. But if you're here putting things down, we can do without that.
Rikki, thanks again. I loved the pics. How did you enjoy Japan? How long did you stay? I hope nobody else (other than izzy) is bothered by my asking.

Izzy, there was only one Steve Irwin and you certainly are not anything like him. I doubt very much he'd be needlessly calling people names so spare me the cheap imitation.
