nic...my duke is as daft as a brush although he does look menacing and he's very big and robust..I did'nt want him for a 'guard dog' as such....but because I just like the breed.
My parent's had a german shepherd when I was young her name was sasha, she died of womb cancer when she was 11 year's old....I still miss her even now!

yeah i have a kitten who was abondened by her family at 3 weeks old-she was really ill and scrawny so had to bottle feed her and hand rear her, when we first got her the vet said it would be doubtful if she survives and she'll prob die overnight but she was a fighter and lived-she is called pheonix -2 reasons she rose from the brink of death, and i like river pheonix-but i'm not a fanatic!! the other kitten i have was found in the woods as his mothers owner abondened the mother and her litter in a garden near the woods so they got taken to the rescue centre but the one i found had escaped to the woods - he is so friendly and he is ginger with a bit of white so i called him casper- after the friendly ghost, the 2 kittens fought at first but now they are inseperable as they clean each other and hunt together-although they arent good at catching things, they have both just turned one - but pheonix is small as she was a runt
i also have a beautiful golden retriever called ruby she is about 12 now and she gets on great with the cats
ireally dont understand how people can be cruel to animals as they are so faithful and loving

How strange, i had a german shepherd called Sasha too. She was killed in Oct 00 when she was only 15 months old. She ran out of my friends garden and when we were looking for her someone told us they had seen a gsd runnng around in a field and to this day i thank god i never went with my friend to find her, he insisted i wait in his house. He found her and she had been hit by a train. I have never been so heartbroken in my entire life. But she is buried in my back garden and she has came back to see me twice. And at the end of thr day, thats why David bought me Morgan, to help me get over Sasha cos i was just crying every day.
Sorry i'm rambling, i just really miss her.

I have that poem in a gold frame on my wall...I have 2 female German Shepards, Sara & Star..plus 16 cats (beat that..lol)..i would have more but i lost several over the years to cancer, lukemia, etc. That is why i have that poem on my wall to think about where they are and the fact that i will see them again some day..on the rainbow bridge. I also feed several strays..i have no kids either so all my animals are spoiled rotten..each one has their own stocking with their name on it for christmas!

You are exactly like me when it comes to your dogs. I used to go on holidays abroad 3 times a year but now because i miss the dogs so much i only do 1 fornight holiday and 1 long weekend abroad and all my other holidays are spent in remote log cabins and cottages so they can have holidays too.

We go there about 2 or 3 times a year, they're not the fanciest ive been to but they are the best. The guy that owns it is an old dutch man and he is the lovliest wee man ever. Unfortunately they have sold ou for new year so we are trying a new place, it looks pretty cool dont you think ? http://www.seaforthestate.com/accomm.html
We are staying in the one called West Lodge. I'm just a little bit scared that i wont leave at the end of the week because that is my ideal house !!!!!!!!
