Hello,
I am a new member of this forum,and I decided to tell you how I got to be a riv fan
Firstly, please excuse my spelling or grammar mistakes,I am not a native English speaker...
I first heared of River Phoenix about a year ago and when I saw a picture of him, without knowing anything about his life, I thought he was an arrogant boy...but by reading about his life,about the fact that he was interested in issues such as animal rights and protecting the environment,I deffinetly changed my mind.I like him for his great heart and for the fact that he loved animals and nature and cared about the others.I've never known him, so I am not sure wether he really was like this,but I've created this image of him in my mind.
I never spoke out my mind regarding River,but while I was reading your posts
I found something rikki(I think)posted on the 7th of july last year, about having dreamt of river.This intrigued me, because I remember that I dreamed of river in july(I don't know exactlty the day) last year too...maybe you won't belive me, but I felt like I want to share this with you.
My dream:I was walking with river along a beach,we were speaking Spanish...(I know a little Spanish because I used to watch Spanish soap operas when I was a child)and he told me something about "ormora".I didn't know what this was supposed to mean,so I searched trough the internet and I found out that Ormora was a turtle beach somewhere in Asia where the exploitation of turtles and their eggs carries on...I think it is interesting considering the fact that river really cared about such issues...I don't know...maybe it is just a coincidence...what do u think

i dint really remember my dream, just that it was the first one id had in MANY years! will need to look up that post!

i do believe in our subconcious psyche being able to connect with things we could never do whilst awake.

it reminds me of a dream (river orintated of course) that i had when i was about 14/15. I had never seen the viper room, just remember reading about it being black with an awning- but in this dream i was there standing outside and could see it so clearly. a couple of years later i saw it on a documantary and it was, exactly, how it had been in my dream, the lampost was in the same place, as was the newspaper machine and the callbox a little down the road. i felt really creeped out but then thought, maybe, i had seen it on another show when i was younger- or read about it in more detail and had forgotten...and when i was asleep these things came together in my head.

lol, in short- maybe you knew that word and what it ment just by something trival you read/saw years ago and then your brain dragged it up to fit it into the context of your dream?

i dont know....or maybe 'someone' tells us/shows us these things!

thx for repliyng to my message ,I guess u'r right,maybe I read about Ormora,or saw on tv,or something like that,and because I thought of River my imagination created this(anyway it would be really stupid to belive that I actually talked to a person I've never met or knew).
By the way a BIG thanks for posting Riv's biography on youtube
