I like river have done for many years.I have watched his films & drooled like other girls & have also witnessed the lovable, vunerable caring side to him as well.
I have regularly glanced the river phoenix pages on the web as I do like to be reminded of just how beautiful river was(gallerys).I came across this site & although was a bit taken back with the title thought I would have a browse.
I have read all the topics answers & comments from people too,a lot of you have been submitting your 'stuff' on here for absolutely ages!.......so really I would just like to know when your gonna stop? or will you ever?
Yes its nice to talk about him,but bringing up things which are the in the past should really speaking stay in the past!
I wonder what river's family would think if each time they logged on the web & came to this site.......OMG they're still on at him etc etc!!!
Do you people have more important things to do than write endless things about river,his family or samantha?
I know this site is aimed at that but dont you get sick & tired of it??.......I certainly would!!!!

I know what you mean dakota it has been a long time since his death and it does seem a bit tedious how people still talk about his death still.
I guess some people find comfort by discussing his life and as you say he should'nt be forgotten,so I think thats why a lot of people do it,I know I do for sure I love to talk about him if I have the opportunity.

i kind of see where your coming from dakota, but i do belive river should be remembered and the only way he will be is if new gererations of fans are introduced to his work and the things he did outside of that work and the only way that can happen is to have internet forums where he can be discussed.

I do not concider myself 'sad' for visiting these forums because when i was growing up River Phoenix had a huge influence in my life and i think he should be able to influence a whole other group of people just like he did me, and people older than me.
In fact, i concider it sad that people visit river phoenix sites just to look at old 'hot' pictures in a gallery instead of discovering everything that was wonderful about him. that is my opinon, i shouldnt judge those people and vice versa.

River gave so much more than his movies, he was a brilliant actor and should be remembered as such- so much more gifted that many around today, but he was also an activist and did his upmost to keep people aware of the worlds enviroment etc while he was alive, he wanted people to hear him when he spoke of these things and that, more than anything, is why new fans should be introduced to him.

as for 'feeling sorry for his family' and all, i understand what you mean, and i do too when certain areas are discussed to death and his family members are accused of doing this and that wrong. river has been dead more that 13 years and new and undiscoved things appear everyday, new documentaries (ie, 'final 24' airing for the first time just a couple of months ago) a new book released last year and back to his family, they also have a big part in keeping his work alive with his sister setting up a myspace music last year just so people can listen to music river had written and recorded years previously.

so, i suppose, as long as others, the media, his family and friends are introducing new things about River people will continue to inhabit these boards and will continue to discover everything that was bad and wonderful about him.

River is so important in my life and in my heart.He s always good influence in my life hes one angel!I love him so mutch!I try talked about him always when he s lived but when I see some message about of this death and than I hurt my heart I reply.

same here i can totally relate. i dont think he should be forgotten at all though i rly want E to put on his E true hollywood story cause i neva seen it.
