Hello!
...wow so much time passed from my last post!(I’ve been very busy lately)Nevermind...The reason why I write now is because...well because of the global warming(please don’t laugh...and sorry for my English,it’s not my native language). As I suppose, the most of you are River Phoenix fans and I think that being a fan involves much more than just admiring that person for its looks or things like that,I think that you also admire him for the causes he supported and for the positive things he did and I think we should take this as an example especially nowadays with all the ecological catastrophes occurring,we should try to get involved, not only to sit back and look,we should try to do something to save our planet...I watched „An inconvnient truth” and it made me think about all these facts, about the fact that the power of stopping our self-destruction lies inside of us.Just think about this. There are many „industry-moguls” who would disagree with this, because it would ruin their buisness, there are many out there who only think about fortune and getting rich and earning as much as possible, greed is the main problem of our civilisation and this problem is now turning against us.
Yes,I know that maybe you’ll ask yourselves „and what has this to do with RP?! ”;my opinion is that it really has much to do with him, because everytime I think about River,I think about loving everything around us...I don’t know if he really was like this, but this is my image of him(at least the positive image...I don’t mean his OD of course...but unfortunately for him, noone is perfect...).
My point is that it would be great if we could say that we were able to follow his(positive) example,it would be the best thing that fans could do

Hi there Sophia i totally agree with you.I think River was not beatiful just because of his look but specialy because of his ideals. I was very mooved when i read that he cried when Martha wanted to eat seafood at some restaurant.Well i don't have time now to say more but i really like your post

Before I even set my eyes on river I have to admit I did a lot of things that would have made river want to wretch. For example eating meat, using and wearing products derived from animals you name it.When I did my 'research' on river or my obsession for him became apparent I started to view the world through his eyes and it dawned on me that it makes complete sense. We are ruining this planet that we inhibit and we must try to preserve the beauty of everything in it that it once had.
I have tried my best to improve on the things which were hurtful towards rivers beliefs,if only gradual I am getting there.

I enjoyed your post too. And trust me unless you hadn't told us I doubt many of us would catch on that english isn't your first language.
I believe River had a thoughtful and definite spiritual side of his personality. He seemed to not really want all the fame that was thrust on him. And the answers to the few interviews I'd seen so far seems like he was making every effort to be honest to others.
Well, any way please keep on posting because you're making not only interesting posts, but good points to consider in a life.
I mean after all money truly isn't every thing although you'd never know it from watching the propaganda on American television. The gist of it being you can be happy...so happy...if only you have lots of money and buy, buy, buy. The new house, new car, the best of everything, and just forget about a person's family and their children.
Because of all the "great" entertainment I think a lot of Americans become so isolated from one another. Whenever I've tried talking to strangers in a friendly way while waiting in the grocery line most people are kind of taken back. Its like there is an unwritten law of WE SHOULDN'T TALK TO ONE ANOTHER NOW. Its kind of adventurous just to initiate casual conversations and see how open or hostile they are.
any way
the man of faith
is signing out for now.

Well i read somewhere River wanted to be rich to buy rain forest (he actually bought some) in way to preserve it from being wiped out. That was a lovely thing to do for our planet specially when he was so young to be aware and concerne about enviromental problems. He had a strong and mature mind... About the interviews i truly think he was making a huge effort to get people attention to these problems but the interviewers just wanted to talk about his name and superficial things.I can imagine what a big frustation it was for him specially because it's obvious that he didn't was confortable to talked in interviews

Why? You are worth so much Kaylie. Although you may have many problems. Life can be tough I agree.
Please consider finding help through couselling, decent friends who could love you and be loved by you, and look into a personal relationship through faith with God. He cares even when the most common and ugly bird falls. Even the very hairs on your head are numbered. Self-destruction is not all that great. Believe me.

Kaylie it might seem easier. Because perhaps your problems are over whelming. But its not. If a person faces eternity lost and undone. Its not worth it.
