Hi all. I just registered here after finding this via Google. I've always loved River, and his movies and music. I was so shocked and saddened by his passing. I live in Los Angeles and plan to go to this years memorial at the Viper Room if they still have that.

My question is: Have any of you ever attempted to "contact" River? By that I mean by Ouija board or by a psychic or even just by meditating? (the board freaks me out, so have never tried that).

Just curious. If so, what was your experience?

The thing is perhaps you don't know about the spiritual side of some things. And opening the door to certain spiritual matters can be very deceptive.

The bible warns people of divination and spiritism. It is not something that God is happy about. It is one big lie to seek after that, and its oppessive, on top of that it is spiritually dangerous.

If a person opens the door to that its hard to close it, and it causes a lot of bad things for people. On top of that you'll never; never be able to contact River that way. But it is a way to allow a dark side to mess with one's life.

I was always had a thing for river as a kid and luckily I had the wonderful opportunity to lust over him in the flesh. I lived in rivers town of micanopy, fl...a tiny town near gainesville. My best friend worked for the towns newspaper and I would accompany her on "spot news" runs. We got a call to a local bar that river was there alone. We got all prettied up and hauled ass up there. We eased our way in by acting cool, treating him normally, even though I wanted faint. He was actually really cool and down to earth. He refused to be photographed but agreed to do an interview, a brief one ..anyways, it was awesome and we actually became friends. When he would come in to town and we would jump in my 89 toyota and just go...he could be normal around us...I loved him so much. It killed me when I learned of his death. Anyways, the reason for my post is this...the other night, out of nowhere I was thinking of him...almost heartsick over it. That night I had a dream about him. in my dream He rubbed my cheek and said im ok now and just walked away. It was the sweetest dream I've ever had. Just thought id share.

river been friendly just vists me by himself in his own time
and it has nothing to do with what god thinks is right or wrong
river is a friendly spirit( just like he was while he was alive)
i learn to listen to my heart
river does not scare me he is just there while i need him
river is my soulfriend

I'm glad that River is there for you :D Do you mean that River visits you in your dreams or that you can actually contact him. It's cool for you to contact dead people. I don't think River would be a bad presence. He was always very good hearted and a beautiful soul when he was alive.
